Responsibilities
We are looking for a software engineer with a track record of delivering distributed cloud services and passion for solving hard problems. Our culture is inclusive, casual, and high energy; our engineers come from diverse backgrounds, are passionate and grounded in our customers’ needs.
Build, evolve and co-own a hyper-scale distributed service.
Participate in all stages of service lifecycle.
Dive deep into global-scale service issues and drive improvements to resiliency, latency, and product reliability.
Champion automation effort for regions buildout.
Champion improvements in the quality and stability of service fundamentals and promote engineering best practices.
Demonstrate strong customer empathy, curiosity and willingness to question and learn, and participation in live site on-call rotation.
Qualifications
Required:
Extensive professional software engineering experience, using one or more general purpose programming languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Python, JavaScript
Ability to work as part of geo-distributed group.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information Systems, Math or relevant engineering field
Nice-To-Have (Not Required)
Experience in running a highly distributed system.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
