Bing Retail team is looking for solid developers to join our fun and challenging journey.
Bing Retail team is responsible for the serving stack and final look & feel of all shopping features on Bing Search Results Page (SERP), Bing vertical pages (such as shopping vertical, image vertical, etc.) and many syndications (like MSN). We own a wide variety of features, which are directly customer facing and involve broad range of technologies. Specifically, our feature area that have position open is about:
- Improve shopping experience on Bing SERP by delivering the best UX and data features for Bing Product Ads and organic shopping answers and directly bring in revenue
- Increase DAU of Bing shopping segment by deep integration of Bing shopping experience with multiple Microsoft products, such as Windows, Edge browser, MSN, etc.
As a member of the Bing Retail team, you will have a direct impact on the quality of our retail shopping products which in turn determines the experience of millions of user searches every day. You will learn and research many cutting edge methods in Bing core UX framework, distributed systems, data mining, machine learning, A/B testing to solve hard problems. You will have enormous resources of Microsoft at your disposal and close collaborations with great teams and colleagues in world-wide. At the same time you have the right environment and solid support to drive your favorite features to solution. Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50- mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. Responsibilities
- Implement (including both UX and backend), flight and ship shopping features to have either Revenue, SBS, DAU impact.
- Innovate feature ideas, analyze opportunities through data mining of Bing logs and user study.
- Understand all the metrics, is able to get insights of what happened from real traffic scorecard, and come up with improvement plan if needed.
- Build dashboard and online tests to monitor mainstreamed features’ coverage, performance and availability.
- Collaboration with global partner teams.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Great design, problem solving, and data analysis skills, with demonstrated passion for quality, performance, and engineering excellence.
- Motivated and able to work independently as well in a collaborative team setting to research innovative solutions to challenging technical/business problems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 5+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Familiar with front-end development (HTML/CSS/JS, etc.).
- 3+ years of industry experiences.
- Good communication skills in English.
- AI-assisted development experiences.
