Microsoft

Redmond, WA, USA
Posted on Jan 24, 2026
Overview
The Microsoft Teams Platform team is building the foundation for how developers create AI-powered agents, apps, and extensions that work seamlessly inside Microsoft Teams. As our platform rapidly evolves, developer guidance and documentation are critical to ensuring developers have a seamless experience adopting new capabilities and building high-quality solutions.

We are looking for a Developer Engagement Product Manager to own and evolve the end-to-end developer content experience for the Teams Platform. This role is deeply embedded as part of our product team, and serves as the connective tissue between product strategy, developer feedback, competitive insights, and documentation quality. While this role does not directly ship product features, it is a core driver of developer success and platform adoption.

This role is ideal for a PM who thrives at the intersection of content design, developer experience, and customer empathy, and who can bring rigor, accountability, and strategic thinking to documentation as a first-class product surface. This PM should push the boundaries for how content is used in the development process of a Teams agent using modern AI toolsets.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

Developer Documentation & Content Strategy

  • Own the overall quality, clarity, and completeness of Teams Platform developer documentation as a key pillar of developer experience.
  • Define and evolve documentation standards, quality bars, and best practices in partnership with product managers and content writers. Drive these standards as a distributed effort across the organization.
  • Proactively identify gaps, outdated guidance, and opportunities to improve discoverability, onboarding, and scenario-based documentation.
  • Drive alignment between product intent and documentation outcomes, ensuring docs reflect how features are meant to be used, not just how they were implemented.

Embedded Product Partnership

  • Work closely with PMs, engineering, design, and developer advocacy to stay ahead of upcoming features and platform changes.
  • Participate in feature reviews, roadmap discussions, and developer feedback loops to ensure documentation readiness is built into the product lifecycle.
  • Partner with PMs to create processes and tooling to scale documentation authored by the product team, providing clear feedback and guidance to raise quality and consistency.
  • Ensure documentation is ready, accurate, and aligned at key milestones (previews, public releases, GA).

Measurement & Accountability

  • Define success metrics for developer documentation (e.g., task success, engagement, support deflection, adoption signals).
  • Use qualitative and quantitative feedback to continuously improve documentation effectiveness.
  • Establish regular review mechanisms to track documentation health and progress over time.

Competitive & Ecosystem Insights

  • Analyze competitor developer platforms and documentation to understand industry best practices and gaps.
  • Use competitive insights to influence content strategy, prioritization, and experience improvements.
  • Advocate for Teams Platform developer experience internally, using data and customer insights to drive change.
