Responsibilities
- Vision & Strategy:
- Define and communicate the long-term vision and strategy for the infrastructure and tooling that supports agents within the Microsoft Teams platform.
- Develop a comprehensive product roadmap that aligns with Microsoft’s broader cloud and collaboration strategies.
- Product Development & Lifecycle Management:
- Collaborate with engineering and UX teams to design, build, and launch scalable infrastructure solutions and developer tools that accelerate the creation and deployment of agents.
- Oversee the complete product lifecycle—from ideation and requirements gathering to development, launch, and continuous improvement.
- Cross-Functional Leadership:
- Lead cross-organizational teams, working closely with internal stakeholders (including engineering, security, compliance, and operations) to ensure product quality, scalability, and alignment with Microsoft’s architectural standards.
- Drive alignment between teams on critical initiatives, acting as the primary liaison between business, technical, and partner organizations.
- Developer Ecosystem & Engagement:
- Advocate for developers by gathering feedback, identifying pain points, and translating these into actionable improvements in the agent infrastructure and tooling.
- Champion best practices and foster a community around the use of Microsoft Teams as a platform for building intelligent agents, including providing thought leadership in developer experiences.
- Performance & Operational Excellence:
- Establish key performance metrics and success criteria to monitor and optimize the infrastructure’s performance, cost, and reliability.
- Proactively manage risks, mitigate issues, and continuously drive improvements to ensure a seamless developer experience and high service reliability.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development OR equivalent experience
Other Requirements:
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- Prior experience with Microsoft Teams or similar collaboration platforms.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, cross-functional initiatives within cloud or collaboration software environments.
- Solid technical background with the ability to engage deeply with engineering teams, understand architectural trade-offs, and drive strategic technical decisions.
- Excellent communication, influencing, and stakeholder management skills, with experience in translating technical details to business and executive audiences.
- Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure, DevOps practices, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Familiarity with AI agent frameworks, conversational interfaces, or related developer tooling.
- Proven ability to innovate and drive change in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
