Overview

The Business Operations Lead is a strategic and operational member of Mission Control in CoreAI. This leader partners with Recruiting and HR for headcount planning, forecasted attrition, location strategies, levels of hires needed, hiring, and early-in-career programs.

They will work with cross-functional teams to build a comprehensive onboarding system and run the monthly managers’ meeting and agenda. They will lead RTO and space planning for CoreAI as well as keep org policies current. They will support ERGs, Hackathons, and other employee-led initiatives that strengthen culture.

This is a high visibility, high impact role requiring a systems level mindset and the ability to execute with precision while building durable mechanisms that strengthen how CoreAI operates.



Responsibilities

Workforce Planning & Talent Operations

    • Partner closely with Recruiting and HR to operationalize headcount planning, workforce modeling, forecasted attrition, and annual planning cycles.
    • Uphold location strategies, hiring levels, and role profiles across CoreAI to support long-range org design.
    • Partner with Recruiting to support hiring execution, pipeline health reviews, and progress across earlyincareer and internship programs.
    • Create and manage a robust onboarding system that accelerates newhire productivity and cultural integration.

Organizational Rhythm & Governance

    • Plan and lead the monthly CoreAI Managers’ Meeting: build agendas, align speakers, track followups, and maintain clarity of priorities.
    • Evolve and maintain CoreAI operating policies, ensuring they stay updated, consistent, and wellcommunicated.

Workplace Experience

    • Lead CoreAI’s Return to Office (RTO) strategy, including planning, communication, and coordination with Global Workplace Services.
    • Lead space planning across hub locations (e.g., Mountain View, Redmond, Boston, New York), including seatmaps, allocation strategy, and forecasting future demand.
    • Partner with site leads and business managers to ensure a seamless, productive inoffice experience.

Culture, Community & Employee Programs

    • Support and empower employeeled initiatives including ERGs, cultural programs, hackathons, volunteer efforts, and communitybuilding events.
    • Partner with HR and business partners on organizational health, engagement rhythms, and manager capability programs.
    • Champion CoreAI focus areas around adaptability, simplification, and outcomes in all operational systems.

Team Leadership & CrossFunctional Orchestration

    • Leads a crossfunctional team that includes Ops Leads to drive unified operational execution.
    • Partner with Finance, HR, Communications, GWS, and Engineering leadership to deliver smooth execution of major org initiatives.
    • Serve as a connective tissue across CoreAI, simplifying workflows, streamlining processes, and enabling leaders to operate more effectively.


Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field (e.g., Liberal Arts, Business Administration, Management, Computer Science) AND 6+ years experience in financial management, business planning, operations management, strategy, project management, human resources, or business-related roles
    • OR equivalent experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of experience in business operations, business management, program management, HR operations, or organizational effectiveness roles.

  • Demonstrated experience driving cross organizational operational systems, workforce planning, or hiring operations.

  • Experience leading complex programs, building mechanisms, and creating repeatable systems that scale.

  • Strong analytical skills, including comfort with forecasting, workforce modeling, dashboards, and business metrics.

  • Clear, concise communicator able to influence across functions and levels.

  • Experience supporting an engineering or technical organization.

  • Experience managing RTO, space planning, or workplace strategy programs.

  • Ability to synthesize complexity for senior leaders.

  • Experience leading vteams and orchestrating broad, multistakeholder initiatives.

  • Background supporting culture and community programs (ERGs, onboarding, hackathons, etc.).



Business Management IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.

Business Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900 - $277,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600 - $303,600 per year.
