Overview

We are seeking a forwardthinking, impactdriven Microsoft Elevate Worldwide Copilot & Agents Go to Market Director to drive the Copilot gotomarket strategy as part of Microsoft Elevate—our company-wide initiative that brings together Microsoft solutions, skills, research, and philanthropic investments to accelerate responsible AI adoption across the education, nonprofit, and workforce ecosystems.

In this role, you will lead the GTM motion for Copilot across these missiondriven sectors, accelerating AI diffusion and helping educators, humanitarian organizations, development agencies, and global partners integrate secure, trustworthy AI into their daily work. A core part of your remit is ensuring that our AI capabilities genuinely meet the needs of these organizations—grounded in product truth, customer context, and realworld use cases that improve learning, operations, and impact at scale.

You’ll partner closely with sales, marketing, engineering, and business operations teams to turn strategy into clear execution plans, drive fiscalyear alignment, and deliver measurable impact for customers globally.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Champion the adoption of secure AI-powered productivity solutions, including Microsoft 365 Copilot and agent-based workflows, to help nonprofits scale their impact.

  • Lead the development of offers, programs, and investment strategies tailored to the unique needs of nonprofit organizations, with a focus on AI readiness and digital transformation.

  • Serve as the principal advocate for AI Workforce in the nonprofit ecosystem, aligning internal stakeholders, partners, and field teams to accelerate adoption and usage.

  • Drive partner-led growth by enabling a robust ecosystem of solution providers to deliver value through AI agents, Copilot Studio, and integrated Microsoft 365 experiences.

  • Own and manage key performance indicators that reflect the health, reach, and impact of the Modern Work business across the nonprofit sector.

Responsibilities

Business Management

  • Develop and orchestrate the business strategy for Copilot and AI agents across the K–12 and nonprofit sectors. Track the effectiveness of strategic plans to drive longterm, sustainable adoption and impact.

  • Hold endtoend accountability for performance, defining scorecard metrics and KPIs specific to AI adoption, agentic workflows, and customer impact in missiondriven organizations.

  • Take a One Microsoft approach in partnering across senior leadership, ensuring alignment and clear decisionmaking to advance Copilot and agentbased transformation.

  • Represent business outcomes in Rhythm of Business, monthly, and quarterly reviews—providing context, insights, and recommendations grounded in product truth and real organizational needs.

Field Enablement

  • Ensure field teams are fully prepared, trained, and supported to drive Copilot and agent adoption within their K–12 and nonprofit accounts.

  • Serve as the primary orchestrator between corporate teams and the field, ensuring alignment on results, priorities, and required actions.

  • Activate and strengthen the partner ecosystem to deliver agentbased solutions and Copilotpowered productivity scenarios tailored to schools, educators, nonprofit program staff, and global development organizations.

  • Identify friction points or blockers in adoption and coordinate crossfunctional resources to mitigate and accelerate progress.

Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy, Planning, and Delivery

  • Create and orchestrate GTM strategies for Copilot and agentdriven workloads, working across sales, marketing, industry, customer success, and partner functions.

  • Partner with the ecosystem to recruit, enable, and scale partners capable of delivering highquality Copilot deployments, agentic workflows, and Copilot Studio solutions for K–12 and nonprofit customers.

  • Define and analyze KPIs and scorecard metrics for AI Workforce transformation and AI diffusion within missiondriven sectors, ensuring investments are aligned with opportunity and measurable impact.

  • Drive execution of GTM plans and growth strategies, ensuring teams understand the direction, resource alignment, and expected outcomes.

  • Continuously assess GTM activity and impact, identifying opportunities for optimization and market share gains across the K–12 and nonprofit landscapes.

Product Advocacy

  • Act as a leading spokesperson and evangelist for Copilot and agentbased AI transformation across the K–12 and nonprofit sectors.

  • Leverage technical, product, and industry expertise to localize value propositions, refine messaging, and shape readiness content for internal teams and external audiences.

  • Guide field teams on highvalue customer scenarios, adoption patterns, and customerspecific opportunities—grounded in strong product truth and real organizational workflows.

  • Lead crossfunctional orchestration with engineering, marketing, industry, and partner teams to advance successful Copilot and agent adoption.

Business Development

  • Identify and cultivate whitespace growth opportunities for Copilot and agentic solutions across global education and nonprofit markets.

  • Use deep knowledge of revenue goals, market potential, and AI capabilities to develop strategies that maximize customer impact and accelerate adoption.

  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to operationalize strategies and ensure partners and field teams can successfully deliver Copilot and agentdriven transformation at scale.

Industry Expertise

  • Maintain and expand expertise in the K–12 and nonprofit sectors, including policy trends, privacy frameworks, safety considerations, and domainspecific use cases for AI.

  • Stay current on AI, Copilot, agents, and emerging technologies—representing customer insights and future needs to sales, engineering, product, and marketing teams.

  • Serve as a sector thought leader, contributing insights to communities, partners, and field teams, and guiding colleagues on industry nuances and opportunity areas.

  • Proactively share learnings and help build the capabilities of others, strengthening Microsoft’s collective expertise in missiondriven AI transformation.

  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 5+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience
    • OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Health Sciences, Supply Chain, Education, Business or related field AND 7+ years customer-facing experience in operations, enterprise-level improvement program management, product management, transportation, hospitality, automotive, consumer goods, financial services, retail, management consulting, consultative selling, public sector, technology or industry-relevant equivalent management or technical work experience
    • OR equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years proven people management and/or leadership experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a WW GTM or Corporate function supporting the AI Workforce Solution Area or applicable competitive platforms
  • 5+ years of experience in creating and driving programs/businesses in the field required.
  • A proven track record of successfully managing a $500M+ business

Industry Advisory IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $133,000 - $222,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $170,300 - $239,800 per year.
