Overview

We are looking for a Business Program Manager on our Continuous Improvement team in the Monetization + Business Planning organization to help transform its business processes with Lean optimization and AI.

Microsoft’s Monetization and Business Planning team is at the heart of transforming products and services into value for customers and partners while driving growth for Microsoft. As a Business Program Manager on the Continuous Improvement team, you will own developing a change management strategy and executing change management plans to land and drive adoption to process improvements and new tools and AI, across a variety of stakeholder groups and levels. You will also capture and analyze launch process data to identify and quantify improvements, and drive improvement projects end to end across all products in the company’s broad portfolio, such as Azure, Dynamics 365, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Defender, Azure, Power Platform, Windows, and our artificial intelligence services such as Copilot. You will collaborate with engineering, product business planners, finance, product marketing, and senior leaders to deeply understand and design human-centered processes with a relentless focus on optimizing for those executing the process, and lead efforts to thoughtfully land process changes. As a critical member of the Continuous Improvement team, you will help to foster a lean culture where we have a common belief that improvement is always possible and create a shared sense of responsibility and optimism and a constant desire to learn as individuals and as an organization.

Responsibilities
  • Develop change management strategies to land process and tool changes impacting a variety of organizations, stakeholder groups, and levels.
  • Execute change management plans to communicate change and drive adoption.
  • Leverage data to tell compelling stories tailored to organizations with differing priorities and context.
  • Leverage Lean methodology and human-centered design to improve processes with both process users and end customers in mind.
  • Manage process improvement projects end to end with a special focus on change management.
  • Assess the landscape of available process data, identify gaps in that data, and set up processes to capture data with the goal of measuring and understanding our launch processes.
  • Report on process improvements and metrics at both leadership and granular altitudes.
  • Contribute to other projects to continuously improve product launch processes

Qualifications

Required/minimum qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
Additional or preferred qualifications
  • Master's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.


Business Program Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $96,500 - $188,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $123,500 - $206,400 per year.
