The Commercial Executive (CE) is a customer-facing sales professional and trusted advisor responsible for designing and executing commercial strategy across a assigned book of business. This role partners closely with sellers, functional experts (e.g., CELA, finance, operations), and the broader account team to drive revenue growth, negotiate pricing and contracting, and accelerate customer adoption of Microsoft cloud solutions. Operating in a dynamic, AI‑powered, high-growth environment, the CE leads commercial deal execution, identifies upsell and cross-sell opportunities, ensures compliance, and cultivates long-term customer value through strategic orchestration and ethical selling practices.
Responsibilities
- Partner with sellers, partners, and cross-functional teams to drive revenue targets, pipeline conversion, and commercial strategy execution.
- Lead or support commercial negotiations, pricing, and deal structuring to ensure profitable, compliant, and value-based customer outcomes.
- Analyze customer business needs, industry trends, and competitive insights to craft customer-centric, growth-oriented offers.
- Manage account planning, renewal cycles, and lifecycle value conversations to expand Microsoft’s cloud footprint and annuity growth.
- Develop and execute commercial plans, assessing risks and collaborating with deal desk, CELA, and stakeholders as needed.
- Drive orchestration across internal and partner teams, ensuring alignment, strong collaboration, and well-executed close plans.
- Maintain high standards of compliance, ethical selling, and adherence to volume licensing and commercial policy.
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field AND 3+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR 5+ years sales and negotiation experience OR equivalent experience.
- Advanced proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
Additional or preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing (or equivalent) AND 4+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing, Finance, Communication, Education (or equivalent) or related field AND 5+ years sales and negotiation experience or related work or internship experience OR 7+ years sales and negotiation experience OR equivalent experience.
