Overview

We build Fluent UI React (https://github.com/microsoft/fluentui), the component library that powers user experiences across Microsoft 365. Our mission is to take Fluent UI React into the future with a modern, model‑first design system and state‑of‑the‑art GenUI solutions. We are evolving the library to deliver smaller bundles, faster rendering, and first‑class accessibility.

We do this in close partnership with product teams across Microsoft. Fluent UI React is the foundation for consistent, familiar experiences across Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, and many other web applications.

We build in the open, value community contributions, and actively invest in growing the ecosystem. Developers inside and outside Microsoft use Fluent UI React as a battle‑tested library for building high‑quality, brandable web experiences.

We’re looking for an experienced, customer‑driven Software Engineer who values collaboration, teamwork, and helping others succeed, someone excited about shaping a modern design system powered by models and next‑generation UI technologies.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

  • Build strong relationships with partner teams by providing guidance, support, and best practices for integrating Fluent UI React into Microsoft products and experiences.
