As a Product Manager for Azure Cosmos DB, you will help shape product strategy and the developer experience for a globally distributed NoSQL database platform. You will turn customer needs, market insights, and data into clear requirements and a prioritized backlog, partnering with engineering and design to deliver features end-to-end. This opportunity will allow you to learn how to evaluate trade-offs, identify investment opportunities, and drive roadmap progress through customer feedback and metrics. This role offers flexible work options with the ability to work from home partially.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
Drive a scoped area of the Azure Cosmos DB experience (e.g., developer onboarding, SDKs, APIs, diagnostics, or vscode + portal workflows) by defining user problems, success metrics, and clear requirements.
Own and track outcomes for your area using OKRs/KPIs (e.g., acquisition, retention, revenue, customer satisfaction) and incorporate fundamentals such as security, privacy, and supportability.
Partner with engineering to identify required telemetry and build data-informed feedback loops (dashboards, experiments, and logs) to evaluate feature health and customer impact.
Collaborate with design to create simple, consistent experiences for developers and operators, connecting user workflows (modeling data, indexing, query, scaling, observability) to product principles and vision.
Work across engineering, partner teams, and stakeholders to plan releases, manage dependencies, and drive execution from concept through GA, while communicating progress in reviews and status updates.
Build relationships with a set of Azure Cosmos DB customers and internal teams (e.g., field and support) to capture feedback, validate scenarios, and ensure we solve high-impact problems for real workloads.
You will embody our culture and values.
