As Mission Critical Cloud Solution Architect (CSA) you interact with the customer on a regular basis in a proactive and programmatic manner. You are familiar with the solutions and customer’s organization. You bring deep technical knowledge and “know me” of the overall solution and understand how it contributes to the customer’s business goals. You define and own execution of architectural updates to customer’s environment to meet optimization goals.
Your proactive technical work lays the foundation for a successful operation of the solution. You deliver solution-oriented proactive services to ensure solution reliability, stability and optimal performance. You provide technology-specific deep technical expertise. You deliver ad-hoc trainings / workshops according to the customer’s needs. You ensure the solution is built & run according to leading practices and provide technical knowledge to remediate issues.

Responsibilities
Create and update deep technical understanding and documentation (KnowMe) of the customer’s technology and solution.
Deliver Onboarding Assessments and define and drive Delivery Plan
Plan and deliver proactive services including onsite presence as needed
Work within a larger virtual account team to strengthen customer relationships and develop security strategies that support both immediate and long-term service delivery goals.
Identify and manage goals and opportunities across network environments to improve the health, performance, and availability of the enterprise.
Drive and participate in proactive delivery management, spot performance issues, analyze problems, and provide solutions to meet customer needs.
Work with support teams, account teams, product engineering teams and other stakeholders to ensure streamlined customer experience.
Apply lessons learned for continuous process and delivery improvement for the customer.
Engage in meetings with customers and account teams to articulate service offerings.
Share and gain knowledge through communities.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Business, Liberal Arts, or related field and experience in cloud/infrastructure technologies, information technology (IT) consulting/support, systems administration, network operations, software development/support, technology solutions, practice development, architecture, and/or consulting OR equivalent experience.
Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings: Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
Preferred/Additional Qualifications:
- Hands on identity experience across Microsoft hybrid identity technologies, with expertise in:
Designing, implementing, and securing Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including directory architecture, identity lifecycle, authentication, and access management. - Integrating on premises AD with Microsoft Entra ID using Microsoft Entra Connect, supporting hybrid authentication, seamless SSO, and modern identity governance.
- Deep understanding of certificates and PKI, including Active Directory Certificate Services (ADCS), certificate lifecycle management, and secure issuance.
- Identity security, governance, and Zero Trust controls including Conditional Access, MFA, Identity Protection, Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Access Reviews, passwordless solutions, and External ID (B2B/B2C/CIAM).
- Modern application identity integration, including SAML, OAuth2.0, OpenID Connect, SCIM, and App Proxy for secure hybrid app publishing.
- Threat protection and monitoring using Microsoft security tools, including Microsoft Defender for Identity, Microsoft Defender for Cloud (replacing Azure Security Center), Azure Monitor / Log Analytics, and adherence to CIS / SCM baselines.
- Demonstrate a strong ability to build and lead programmatic approaches for customer situations, ensuring customer buy-in and providing regular communication of value delivered.
- Ability to develop strategic ongoing customer relationships to gain the trust and respect of customers.
- Excellent customer service skills, good oral and written communication skills, proven ability to handle difficult and sensitive situations involving the most critical and politically charged customer situations, lead projects and motivate others.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, while working with diverse audiences including highly technical IT professionals, developers, architects, and executive account management.
- Alongside proficiency in Identity, having knowledge in either Azure Infrastructure or Azure Security is advantageous.
