Microsoft’s Cloud business is expanding, and the Cloud Supply Chain (CSCP) organization is responsible for enabling the hardware infrastructure underlying this growth including AI! The CSCP organization is responsible for traditional supply chain functions such as plan, source, make, deliver, but also manages supportability (spares), sustainability, and decommissioning of datacenter assets worldwide. We deliver the core infrastructure and foundational technologies for Microsoft's over 200 online businesses including Bing, MSN, Office 365, Xbox Live, OneDrive and the Microsoft Azure platform for external customers. The Cloud Sourcing, Spares, Security and Sustainability (CS4) organization within CSCP manages sourcing, strategy, and suppliers to provide cost, flexibility, and supply advantages that enable our org to become a world-class supply chain. Responsibilities

- Translate global sourcing strategies into executable plans for Korea-based suppliers. Drive LTA operational execution, prepayment structures, and allocation frameworks to secure supply during historic shortages.

- Oversee PO placement, AVL stewardship, and escalation processes to ensure timely delivery. Monitor factory output, qualification progress, and compliance with Microsoft standards.

- Maintain strong relationships with storage and memory semiconductor suppliers. Conduct QBRs and negotiate commercial terms aligned with margin-driven product mix (DRAM, HBM, SSD and HDD).

- Implement geo-diversification and multi-sourcing strategies.

- Proactively address capacity constraints and CAPEX alignment issues.

- Partner with engineering, operations, finance, and legal teams to resolve bottlenecks and accelerate NPI ramps.

- Track Asia fab utilization, CAPEX trends, and technology transitions to inform sourcing decisions.



Qualifications

Minimum qualifications:

- Master's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 6+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field AND 8+ years experience in procurement, supply chain, sourcing, engineering, operations, or relevant sales-related roles OR equivalent experience.

- Fluency in English.

Other Requirements:

Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized security screenings:

• Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred qualifications:

- 8+ years in semiconductor sourcing or supply chain, with deep exposure to DRAM, HBM, SSD and HDD.

- Proven record of executing sourcing strategies and managing supplier operations in Asia.

- Strong understanding of memory/storage technologies (DRAM, HBM, SSD and HDD) and qualification processes.

- Negotiation and contract management expertise.

- Ability to operate on-site at supplier fabs to ensure execution and resolve issues in real time.

- Bachelor’s in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA preferred.

- Fluent in Korean for effective supplier and internal communication.
