As a Sales Operations Data Analyst in Microsoft Advertising, you will build and maintain executive‑ready dashboards and reporting that turn complex data models into clear, usable insights. You will pull, manipulate, and validate data across systems, partnering closely with senior ICs to support well‑scoped analyses for executive decision making. This opportunity will allow you to accelerate your analytics career, develop deep business and performance acumen, and strengthen your ability to translate complex data into executive‑level insights. This is a full-time in-office role.

Responsibilities
Analytics Development & Reporting
- Own the design, development, and ongoing management of executive dashboards and reports.
- Build durable analytics products by understanding business priorities, integrating data across sources, and contributing to analytical frameworks that enable executive decision‑making.
Data Exploration & Framework Design
- Identify connections across diverse data sources and contribute to scalable analytical frameworks.
- Apply a customer‑ or stakeholder‑oriented mindset when examining business problems and informing data solutions.
Data Sourcing, Analysis & Evaluation
- Identify and leverage appropriate data sources to support analytical work.
- Determine suitable analytical techniques, validate assumptions, and contribute to data‑driven recommendations.
Insight Sharing & Cross‑Team Collaboration
- Synthesize and simplify insights to ensure findings are accurate, accessible, and actionable for stakeholders.
- Support and consult with partner teams to help identify relevant data‑driven opportunities and recommendations.
Process Improvement & Model Evaluation
- Recommend efficiency improvements for recurring analytics work and assess the viability of automation for data collection.
- Understand linkages between analytical models and assist in model review processes; investigate potential deficiencies when issues arise.
Data Governance, Privacy & Alignment
- Work across teams to align data sources, processes, and reporting standards.
- Engage stakeholders to act on identified opportunities and maintain awareness of privacy requirements.
- Ensure data used in analysis and reporting has undergone appropriate governance and compliance reviews.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Data Science, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, Economics or related field AND 2+ years experience in data analysis and reporting, data science, business intelligence, or business and financial analysis OR equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of data visualization best practices
- 3+ years experience in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., experience with SQL and Power BI)
- Fluency in data visualization best practices

Data Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $85,100 - $169,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $112,000 - $185,300 per year.
