Overview

Security represents the most critical priorities for our customers in a world awash in digital threats, regulatory scrutiny, and estate complexity. Microsoft Security aspires to make the world a safer place for all. We want to reshape security and empower every user, customer, and developer with a security cloud that protects them with end to end, simplified solutions. The Microsoft Security organization accelerates Microsoft’s mission and bold ambitions to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customers’ heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. In doing so, we create life-changing innovations that impact billions of lives around the world.

Our team is responsible for driving product‑led growth for Microsoft Purview in the SMB and SMC segments by making data protection simple to adopt, easy to scale, and valuable by default. We focus on building automation‑first protection packaging, multi‑tenant and partner‑admin experiences, and lightweight AI‑powered capabilities that reduce configuration effort while increasing trust and clarity for customers and partners. The team works closely with engineering, research, MCAPS, IDEAS, and ecosystem partners to enable near‑zero‑friction activation, strong product hooks across Microsoft 365 workloads, and scalable partner‑led deployment and management. Our goal is to translate enterprise‑grade data protection into intuitive, repeatable experiences that help SMB customers protect their data and adopt AI safely—without requiring deep security expertise—while enabling partners to deliver and manage Purview at scale.

Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and delivery of AI-native, secure-by-default protection experiences that scale from SMB/ SMC to enterprise, with a strong focus on partner-led growth.

This role will define how Microsoft packages and auto-orchestrates data protection across M365 workloads—building adaptive protection baselines, multi-tenant deployment rails for MSP/CSP ecosystems, and intelligent automation that removes admin friction while maintaining safety and reliability. You will operate at the intersection of AI, security, and platform scale, shaping cross-workload integrations, driving end-to-end experiences (UX + services + telemetry), and establishing the systems architecture that enables near-zero-touch activation and measurable adoption lift across millions of tenants.

Qualifications
  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex, cross-functional initiatives in SaaS or platform environments
  • Demonstrated track record of defining and delivering 0→1 capabilities or platform-scale systems — not just incremental feature iterations
  • Strong technical fluency in distributed systems, automation, orchestration, and/or multi-tenant architectures
  • Experience building AI-driven, signal-based, or adaptive product experiences
  • Deep understanding of cybersecurity or data security landscapes, particularly in enterprise SaaS or partner ecosystems, preferred
  • Ability to operate effectively in high-ambiguity environments and translate strategy into clear, executable roadmaps
  • Proven success driving alignment across engineering, design, business, and partner stakeholders without direct authority
  • Strong product judgment around usability, operational simplicity, reliability, and safe-by-default design
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence senior leadership

This position will be open for a minimum of 5 days, with applications accepted on an ongoing basis until the position is filled.
