As a Senior Product Manager, you will define strategy and partner across engineering, applied science, design, product, and marketing to deliver breakthrough AI capabilities that transform the lives of hundreds of millions of users around the world.

Responsibilities
  • Own the strategy and roadmap for Microsoft’s most visible AI experiences by defining capabilities that unlock first‑party innovation and third‑party extensibility at scale.
  • Deliver core AI platform capabilities (e.g., multi‑turn orchestration, grounding, memory, agent‑to‑agent collaboration, extensibility), define how quality and trust are evaluated, and scale solutions responsibly across large audiences.
  • Provide strategic direction across divisions by defining business impact, success criteria, and long‑term investment opportunities, while ensuring teams engage the right partners and track measurable outcomes.
  • Guide customer‑centered product development by leading customer discussions, driving scenario and product clarity, and aligning capabilities across divisions.
  • Drive go‑to‑market readiness by shaping rollout plans, ensuring strong customer and developer support, and incorporating ongoing feedback and usage insights.
  • Orchestrate cross‑organizational execution with engineering, applied science, design, and partner product teams to deliver complex, high‑impact experiences with clear milestones and effective communication.
  • Mentor and serve as a role model for product managers and engineers by fostering a culture of clarity, creativity, inclusion, and accountability, and by exemplifying AI‑forward product leadership.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 5+ years of experience in product, service, or program management, or software development
  • OR equivalent experience

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to, the following specialized screenings:
    • Microsoft Cloud Background Check, required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years of experience in product, service, or program management, or software development
  • OR equivalent experience
  • Hands‑on technical experience with SDKs, APIs, developer tools, or platform integration patterns, with the ability to engage deeply in technical design and partner closely with engineering, customers, or external technical partners
  • 4+ years of experience bringing a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, product‑market fit, launch, internal tools or frameworks)
  • 4+ years of experience improving product metrics (e.g., customer growth, usage expansion, or retention)
  • 4+ years of experience driving market differentiation or competitive disruption
  • Experience with AI/ML systems, including orchestration, grounding, evaluation, and responsible AI practices
  • Experience designing or building AI application stacks and agents, including conversational UX, agent frameworks, and generative AI platforms


Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
