The Customer Acceleration Team (CAT) is part of the Customer Experience Engineering (CxE) division within Microsoft’s Security business and we are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join our team. We work with customers from all over the world to shape the product based on customer insights. The CAT Principal Product Manager will handle technical aspects of customer and partner engagements with a focus on security and AI initiatives. This role entails providing proactive guidance, active listening, dealing with ambiguity and driving technical execution.
The key Microsoft Security products driven through our team are Microsoft Information Protection (MIP) and Data Loss Prevention (DLP). We partner closely with our Purview Product Engineering Teams to improve our products by gathering insights from the thousands of customers we work with daily. To be successful in this role, you are customer obsessed, possess a growth mindset, have excellent analytical skills, and pay tremendous attention to detail. You must have a passion for content creation and be willing to educate the field on best practices and product use. Responsibilities
- Lead technical and strategic engagements with top global customers, handling ambiguity, escalations, and complex security/AI scenarios.
- Deliver compelling demos, architecture reviews, deployment strategies, and success plans for stakeholders from Csuite to analyst level.
- Act as the customer advocate to ensure use cases, blockers, and requirements land clearly with engineering.
- Drive critical insights into engineering, influencing roadmap and priority decisions.
- Validate new features in-market, gather real customer data, and ensure solutions land with quality.
- Convert adhoc support into scalable programs that raise operational maturity across CxE.
- Build and operationalize agent workflows, process automation, and Copilotintegrated mechanisms that reduce workload for field, customers, and engineering.
- Identify where AI can remove friction from customer deployment, adoption, or product usage.
- Create authoritative content: training sessions, conference material, talk tracks, onepagers, and scenario guides.
- Communicate clearly about initiative risks, accomplishments, learnings and opportunities.
- Become a subject matter expert on new and emerging capabilities from a technical breadth and depth perspective with a focus on security and AI.
- Drive critical feedback, insights, customer requirements to improve the solution, drive value to customers and overall solution adoption and consumption.
- Build and maintain key relationships with customer stakeholders to drive continued confidence and trust with Microsoft.

Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree AND 5+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- Bachelor's Degree AND 8+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development
- OR equivalent experience.
- 2+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch, internal tool/framework).
- 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing customer base, expanding customer usage, avoiding customer churn).
- 4+ years experience disrupting a market for a product, feature, or experience (e.g., competitive disruption, taking the place of an established competing product).
- Experience with Purview including Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Information Protection (MIP) or other enterprise security products.

Product Management IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $119,800 - $234,700 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $158,400 - $258,000 per year.
