Microsoft Development Center in Prague is hiring Senior Software Engineers across its Microsoft Security teams. Based in Czechia, you’ll join Microsoft Entra, the identity and network access platform behind Microsoft’s Zero Trust strategy—powering secure access for any identity to any resource, anywhere across hybrid and multicloud environments. The team protects identities, access, and trust at massive scale (billions of authentications daily) with availability targets exceeding 99.99%. As a Software Engineer, you’ll build highly reliable, secure systems at the core of Microsoft’s cloud, collaborating across Security, Azure, and Microsoft 365.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, test, and maintain robust highquality software systems, components and services
Write clean, efficient, and welltested code following Microsoft engineering best practices
Be available for on-call rotations.
Collaborate with crossfunctional partners including Product Management, Design, and other Engineering teams
Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and oncall rotations as needed
Debug, and resolve complex issues across development and production environments by identifying root causes and implementing durable solutions
Continuously improve engineering processes, quality, and system reliability
Proactively seek opportunities to enhance system and service availability, reliability, resiliency, efficiency, and performance.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Experience with one or more OOP languages including but not limited to: C#, Java, C/C++, JavaScript, Python.
Good system design, algorithmic skills, good knowledge of data structures.
Participated in code reviews to ensure coding standards and best practices are followed
Experience in improving the quality and security of a product feature through testing (like unit, integration, and system testing)
Proficient problem solving and debugging skills
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing and delivering scalable, reliable software systems
Practical experience with IaC(Infrastructure as a Code)
Experience with distributed systems, cloud services, or largescale production environments
Experience working with SQL-like query languages.
Ability to independently drive technical solutions and contribute to system architecture discussions
Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies.

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
