Senior Content Program Manager
Microsoft
The Cloud & AI organization accelerates Microsoft’s mission and bold ambitions to ensure that our company and industry is securing digital technology platforms, devices, and clouds in our customers’ heterogeneous environments, as well as ensuring the security of our own internal estate. Our culture is centered on embracing a growth mindset, a theme of inspiring excellence, and encouraging teams and leaders to bring their best each day. In doing so, we create life-changing innovations that impact billions of lives around the world. Microsoft is one of the largest enterprise service companies in the world.
Microsoft’s Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (OCISO) is building a more intentional, strategic, and unified presence across Microsoft-owned, third party, and executive level security events. We are hiring an Event Manager to be the operational backbone of this work—someone who thrives in ambiguity, enjoys building from scratch, and is equally comfortable rolling up their sleeves and leading complex, executive level programs.
This role will directly shape how OCISO shows up to customers, partners, and the broader security community. You will manage everything from hands on execution of smaller programs to directing agencies and vendors for flagship, global events with senior Microsoft leaders in attendance. This is an opportunity to flex your creativity and take an ownership role.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
Responsibilities
End to End Event Execution (Hands On)
• Plan and execute internal and external OCISO events across a full calendar year, including Microsoft owned events, executive forums, industry conferences, and internal training events.
• Personally manage logistics for smaller and mid sized events (venue sourcing, agendas, registration, run of show, speaker coordination, onsite execution).
• Build repeatable playbooks, timelines, and templates to bring consistency across events while allowing flexibility by tier and audience.
Vendor & Agency Leadership
• Lead external vendors (event agencies, production partners, AV, design) for larger Tier 1 and Tier 2 programs.
• Clearly define scope, timelines, and success criteria; keep vendors accountable while maintaining partnerships.
Executive Level Event Support
• Support events led by senior OCISO leaders, including partnering with their Chiefs of Staff, Communications Directors and more.
• Anticipate executive needs: tight agendas, polished experiences, clear objectives, and zero drama execution.
• Prepare concise exec briefings, run of show documents, and post event readouts.
Operating Model & Governance
• Operate within a centralized Center of Excellence within OCISO, coordinating with Marketing, PR, and other security teams.
• Apply event tiering, funding, and staffing criteria consistently while evaluating new events and adapting to changes in priorities.
• Partner closely with communications and content owners to ensure all public facing content follows governance and security review requirements.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
• Track outcomes and signals of success (qualitative and quantitative) aligned to event goals—executive engagement, customer feedback, narrative reinforcement.
• Capture learnings and continuously refine processes, formats, and vendor approaches over time.
