As a Senior Product Manager on the MAI Suggestions team, within the STCI organization at Microsoft AI (MAI), you will own the Follow-On Suggestion Experiences that improve task completion and engagement on Search, while enabling coherent and seamless scenarios across Search and Copilot. Your scope includes Related Searches, People Also Ask, Conversational Suggestion Pills, and other new follow-on experiences as the space evolves. This role is designed for a Solid individual contributor who operates with autonomy, thrives in ambiguous problem spaces, and drives meaningful customer and business impact through product judgment and cross-team collaboration.
You will work closely with engineering, design, data science, and partner teams to define product direction for follow-on suggestions, ship high-quality experiences, and deliver measurable improvements in engagement, task success, and session depth across Search and Copilot surfaces.

Starting January 26, 2026, Microsoft AI (MAI) employees who live within a 50-mile commute of a designated Microsoft office in the U.S. or 25-mile commute of a non-U.S., country-specific location are expected to work from the office at least four days per week. This expectation is subject to local law and may vary by jurisdiction.
Responsibilities
- Own product direction and outcomes for Follow-On Suggestion Experiences—including Related Searches, People Also Ask, Conversational Suggestion Pills, and future follow-on experiences —from problem framing through execution to measurable impact on task completion and engagement.
- Drive coherent and seamless follow-on experiences across Search and Copilot, partnering with cross-org teams to ensure consistent user journeys and shared patterns across surfaces.
- Set and sustain a high-velocity product operating rhythm by creating clarity, generating energy, and reducing friction—accelerating decision-making and maintaining a high bar for pace, ownership, and execution.
- Enable rapid shipping, learning, and iteration by leveraging AI-powered tooling and tight cross-functional collaboration to compress delivery cycles and increase experimentation throughput.
- Identify and pursue high-impact opportunities to improve session depth, engagement, task success, and retention through data-driven insights and experimentation across follow-on suggestion surfaces.
- Frame ambiguous problem spaces effectively, define clear success metrics, and translate insights into well-prioritized product bets and roadmaps for follow-on experiences.
- Partner closely with engineering and data science to make informed trade-offs across UX quality, velocity, scalability, and model performance for suggestion relevance and presentation.
- Define and evolve metrics, evaluation frameworks, and experiments to assess follow-on experience quality, growth impact, and long-term user value.
- Communicate product strategy, trade-offs, and outcomes to senior stakeholders, driving alignment and informed decision-making.
- Contribute to team-wide product excellence through design reviews, strategic thinking, and sharing reusable approaches that scale beyond a single problem area.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 4+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Track record of shipping consumer-facing product experiences with measurable impact on engagement or task success.
- Solid product judgment and strategic thinking, with the ability to connect customer needs to product direction and business outcomes.
- Customer empathy and UX intuition, especially in consumer-scale search, AI, or content discovery experiences.
- Solid analytical skills and comfort using data, experimentation, and evaluation frameworks to drive decisions.
- Experience collaborating across engineering, design, and data science in fast-paced, ambiguous environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive alignment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree AND 6+ years experience in product/service/program management or software development.
- OR equivalent experience.
- Experience with search, recommendation, or suggestion systems at consumer scale.
- Experience working on AI-powered or LLM-driven user experiences.
- 3+ years experience taking a product, feature, or experience to market (e.g., design, addressing product market fit, and launch).
- 4+ years experience improving product metrics for a product, feature, or experience in a market (e.g., growing engagement, expanding usage, improving task completion).
- Experience influencing without authority and aligning partner teams across organizational boundaries.
