Senior Product Marketing Manager, M365 Copilot Storytelling

The Microsoft 365 Copilot team is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager to serve as the storytelling lead for how we position Microsoft 365 Copilot value through compelling and differentiated messaging. In this role, you will bring the Copilot narrative to life, translating product truth and forward-looking vision into compelling stories that show up consistently across core customer-facing assets, web experiences, marketing moments, social, and more.
You will focus on shaping how the narrative is told, experienced, and activated by developing storytelling frameworks and assets that make the strategy tangible for customers, press, analysts, and sales. You’ll work cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, design, and comms teams, to ensure Copilot storytelling is clear, cohesive, and impactful across every lever we use, along with exploring new creative, AI-forward ways to land our story in market. This is a highly collaborative role for an experienced storyteller who excels at translating narrative strategy into real-world execution that is grounded in product truth, customer insight, and creative rigor.

Responsibilities
- Bring the Microsoft 365 Copilot narrative to life through clear, compelling storytelling and differentiates us from other AI solutions in the market
- Develop storytelling frameworks that translate complex AI capabilities into human, value-driven stories across current product truth and future vision
- Serve as the primary storytelling execution lead for the team, setting standards for how narratives show up across assets and channels
- Partner closely with the M365 narrative owner to ensure alignment, consistency, and clarity across all storytelling outputs
- Work with marketing teams to activate Copilot scenarios on the web to showcase differentiation across our portfolio
- Create and evolve core storytelling assets, including hero stories, scenario-based narratives, messaging frameworks, and more
- Ensure storytelling consistency across key levers, including launches, campaigns, web, sales enablement, analyst engagements, and executive communications
- Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, engineering, design/UX, PR/comms, and sales to align storytelling with product truth and roadmap
- Identify opportunities to elevate Copilot storytelling through new formats, channels, and creative approaches
- Monitor industry and competitive storytelling trends to inform how Copilot’s narrative is expressed and differentiated

Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field AND 5+ years experience in product marketing and storytelling roles OR Master’s Degree in a related field AND 3+ years experience OR equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience, OR Master’s Degree AND 6+ years experience
- Experience activating narrative strategy across large-scale launches, platforms, or ecosystems
- Proven cross-functional influence skills, with experience partnering closely with product, design, and web teams
- Customer-obsessed mindset, with the ability to ground storytelling in real customer needs and scenarios
- Strategic storyteller who can balance long-term narrative intent with near-term execution
- Comfortable operating in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and shaping clarity through storytelling
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive alignment across teams, while working effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
- Self-motivated and results-oriented with a clear bias for action
- Proven experience translating product strategy and narrative into compelling storytelling assets for complex technology products
- Demonstrated ability to bring product truth to life through clear, differentiated storytelling
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills, with a portfolio of narrative-driven work and delivered in various formats (social, video, long-form, demos, etc.)
Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
