Overview

Team Mission: We are dedicated to leveraging artificial intelligence to transform core enterprise business processes, helping customers achieve breakthroughs in efficiency and innovation across sales, service, supply chain, and other critical domains. The AI Business Process (AIBP) practice focuses on deploying AI solutions in ERP, CRM, finance, and operations by deeply integrating with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio — automating workflows, personalizing customer experiences, and optimizing enterprise processes.

As an AI Business Process Architect, you will serve as a business-oriented consultant within a collaborative team of experienced architects and domain experts. This role emphasizes industry knowledge and business process expertise over deep technical implementation skills. Under the guidance of senior leads, you will help customers identify where Microsoft’s AI innovations — including Dynamics 365 Copilot and custom AI Agents — can address real business challenges and drive measurable operational improvements.

Your work will span both pre-sales and delivery: leading business discovery workshops, mapping AI opportunities to industry-specific processes, articulating business value to executive stakeholders, and ensuring that delivered solutions achieve the business outcomes customers expect. This role is ideal for early-to-mid career professionals with strong business acumen and industry curiosity who want to shape how AI transforms enterprise operations.

Responsibilities

Industry & Business Process Expertise

  • Develop and maintain deep knowledge of industry-specific business processes (e.g., sales cycle management, customer service operations, financial close, supply chain planning) across one or more verticals such as manufacturing, retail, financial services, or professional services.
  • Conduct business discovery workshops with customers to map current-state processes, identify inefficiencies, and uncover high-impact opportunities for AI-driven improvement.
  • Build industry-contextualized AI solution scenarios that speak directly to the business language of customer stakeholders — not just technical possibilities, but tangible operational outcomes (e.g., reduced order-to-cash cycle time, improved first-call resolution, faster demand forecasting).
  • Stay current with industry trends, competitive dynamics, and regulatory requirements relevant to target sectors, ensuring AI recommendations are practical and compliant.

Business Value & Outcome Focus

  • Champion a business-outcome-first approach: every AI initiative must tie to measurable KPIs such as revenue growth, cost reduction, customer satisfaction, or operational throughput.
  • Develop clear ROI models and business cases that articulate AI value in terms executives understand — not technology features, but business impact.
  • Track and report on post-deployment business metrics to demonstrate realized value and identify further optimization opportunities.

Pre-Sales Engagement & Consultative Selling

  • Lead business-focused customer conversations during pre-sales: understand strategic priorities, map pain points to AI use cases, and co-create solution visions with business decision-makers.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to craft compelling proposals grounded in industry benchmarks, peer success stories, and customer-specific business cases.
  • Support proof-of-concept (POC) demonstrations with a business narrative that connects technical capabilities to customer outcomes; collaborate with partners to expand AI adoption opportunities.

Solution Design & Delivery Support

  • Provide the business and process perspective in solution architecture discussions, ensuring AI designs align with how the customer actually operates — not just technical best practices.
  • Collaborate with technical architects to define requirements, validate solution fit against business workflows, and ensure delivered solutions meet end-user needs.
  • Using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, contribute to configuring AI Agents that mirror real business processes — translating domain knowledge into agent behavior, prompts, and workflow logic.

Change Enablement & User Adoption

  • Own the business adoption strategy for delivered AI solutions: design adoption plans, define success metrics, and ensure new capabilities are embedded into daily operations.
  • Lead change management activities including stakeholder alignment, key user training, and business process transition planning.
  • Monitor adoption KPIs and business metric improvements; surface insights to drive continuous value realization.

Continuous Learning & Industry Development

  • Invest in industry knowledge and business domain expertise as a primary growth area — attend industry events, study vertical trends, and build a professional network in target sectors.
  • Stay current with Microsoft’s AI product roadmap and how new capabilities map to industry use cases.

Contribute reusable industry playbooks, business case templates, and process mapping assets to the team’s knowledge base.

Qualifications

Required

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Business Administration, Management, Information Systems, Supply Chain, Finance, Engineering, or a related field. MBA or business-focused postgraduate qualifications are a plus.

Experience

  • 3–5 years of work experience in management consulting, business process consulting, or industry-focused roles involving enterprise operations (e.g., sales operations, customer service, finance, supply chain). Experience with CRM/ERP implementations from a business/functional perspective is highly valued.
  • Exposure to digital transformation, process improvement (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma), or automation initiatives preferred over purely technical backgrounds.

Technology Awareness (Primary)

  • Working awareness of Microsoft Dynamics 365, Power Platform, and Copilot Studio — understanding what they do and where they fit, rather than deep implementation expertise.
  • Basic understanding of AI and large language model concepts — enough to explain value propositions to business audiences and collaborate effectively with technical architects.
  • Comfort navigating enterprise technology landscapes (ERP, CRM, integration patterns) at a conceptual level to bridge business requirements and technical solutions.

Industry & Business Knowledge (Supporting)

  • Solid understanding of enterprise business processes in at least one domain: sales & marketing (lead-to-cash), customer service (case management, contact center), finance (procure-to-pay, record-to-report), or supply chain (plan-to-deliver, inventory optimization).
  • Ability to conduct business discovery, document current-state processes, identify pain points, and articulate improvement opportunities in language that business stakeholders understand.
  • Familiarity with industry dynamics, competitive landscapes, and regulatory considerations in one or more sectors (e.g., manufacturing, retail, financial services, healthcare, professional services).
  • Demonstrated ability to build business cases and ROI models that connect technology initiatives to measurable business outcomes.

Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to lead business workshops, present to executive stakeholders, and translate between business and technical teams.
  • Strong consultative and facilitation skills — able to build trust with business leaders, guide discovery conversations, and influence without authority.
  • Comfort working across cross-functional teams including sales, consulting, engineering, and customer business units.

Language

  • Proficient in English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening); able to write business proposals and communicate with global teams.

Preferred

  • Industry Depth: Prior consulting or operational experience in a specific vertical (manufacturing, retail, financial services, etc.) with the ability to speak credibly about industry-specific challenges, metrics, and best practices.
  • BizApps & Process Expertise: Hands-on functional experience with mainstream ERP/CRM platforms (e.g., SAP, Salesforce, Oracle, Dynamics 365) from a business analyst or functional consultant perspective. Experience with business process reengineering or transformation programs.
  • AI Awareness: Participation in AI or automation projects from a business/use-case perspective. Familiarity with Responsible AI principles. Understanding of how generative AI, conversational AI, or RPA can address specific business scenarios.
  • Certifications: Relevant business or technology certifications such as Dynamics 365 functional consultant certifications, PMP, Lean Six Sigma, or industry-specific credentials.
  • Soft Skills: Intellectually curious with a passion for understanding how businesses operate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A consultative mindset that balances strategic thinking with practical execution.
