Overview

As a Senior Product Marketing Manager for Cloud & AI Platforms focused on Third Party Events, you will serve as the connective tissue across a broad and fast-moving events ecosystem. This role brings clarity, cohesion, and impact to how Microsoft shows up at industry conferences and community events; ensuring developers, engineers, and technical decision-makers across the Azure AI and developer ecosystem have engaging experiences that inspire them to learn, adopt, and advocate for our platform. You will partner closely with Product Marketing Managers (PMMs), Developer Relations (DevRel), engineering teams, community leads, and fellow marketers to plan and deliver priority event experiences across our portfolio. The goal is not more events—it's the right events, with the right presence, and clear outcomes that drive engagement, adoption, and advocacy across our Cloud & AI product portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Lead end-to-end strategic planning and on-the-ground execution for priority third-party events across the Cloud & AI Platforms portfolio, managing timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, and cross-functional deliverables from early planning through post-event follow-up.
  • Maintain broad visibility across the third-party event landscape for Cloud & AI Platforms, spanning key industry conferences and community touchpoints, to identify high-impact opportunities and ensure holistic audience coverage.
  • Partner with portfolio management leads on event prioritization, scoring, and slate development, contributing execution-level insight to inform investment decisions and fiscal-year planning.
  • Coordinate with PMM teams, DevRel, engineering, field marketing, Launch and Disclosure, AR/PR, and community programs to align event plans with product roadmaps, announcements, and audience needs.
  • Own the planning and delivery of on-site event experiences—including keynote and session strategy, expo presence, community activations, and creator engagement programs—ensuring each activation aligns with broader marketing strategy and product messaging.
  • Produce executive-ready event communications, including pre-event "know before you go" briefings, on-site coordination updates, and post-event recaps with performance data and actionable insights.
  • Track and analyze event performance across key metrics—registrations, attendance, lead generation, session scores, and stakeholder feedback—and synthesize findings into narratives that demonstrate business impact and inform future strategy.
  • Identify and scale event marketing best practices, contributing to playbooks and frameworks that enable partner teams to execute third-party events more efficiently.
