Microsoft Dataverse is the secure, governed business data foundation powering Microsoft Power Platform and Dynamics 365. As enterprises embrace agentic AI, Dataverse is evolving into the agent data platform—enabling AI agents to search, reason over, and act on business data across Microsoft 365 Copilot, Work IQ, and developer experiences.
As a Principal Product Manager on the Microsoft Dataverse team, you will shape the future of Microsoft’s agent data platform. You will own platform‑level strategy for how AI agents securely access and operate on enterprise business data from Dynamics CRM and Power Platform, and drive alignment across M365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Azure Foundry and more.
This role accountable for setting long‑term direction, establishing product judgment frameworks, and delivering durable customer and business outcomes through leverage and cross‑company influence.
Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees, we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Define and drive product strategy and roadmap for Dataverse as the agent data platform—shaping how AI agents access, reason over, and act on enterprise business data across Microsoft surfaces. This includes building and extending tooling (plugins, skills, etc) for coding agents.
- Set strategic direction that influences org‑level roadmaps and investment decisions, ensuring Dataverse capabilities scale across M365 Copilot, Dynamics 365, Power Platform, Copilot Studio, and developer ecosystems.
- Apply deep AI/ML literacy and data fluency to establish product judgment frameworks for AI vs. deterministic approaches, balancing quality, reliability, cost, latency, explainability, and trust at platform scale.
- Define and own AI/LLM evaluation strategy and quality bars for agentic capabilities, including offline and online evaluation frameworks, AI judges, and go/no‑go criteria for release.
- Drive execution across multiple teams and product surfaces through influence rather than authority, translating highly ambiguous customer and business problems into scalable platform capabilities.
- Lead cross‑company alignment across engineering, applied science, design, business, and go‑to‑market teams; resolve priority and design conflicts by driving clarity on customer outcomes and long‑term trade‑offs.
- Partner with design and engineering to create agent‑building experiences that makers and developers love, reducing time‑to‑value for enterprises deploying AI agents on Dataverse.
- Engage directly with strategic customers and partners, translating research insights and private preview feedback into platform improvements and new growth opportunities.
- Represent Dataverse product strategy in executive forums and through external storytelling at Ignite, Build, and partner events to grow platform adoption.
- Mentor and raise the bar for product management excellence by coaching other PMs, leading design and strategy reviews, and establishing standards that scale impact beyond individual execution.
- Partner with responsible AI, security, governance, and compliance teams to ensure eval frameworks respect enterprise boundaries and safety constraints.
- Track the latest developments in multi‑agent evaluation frameworks, trajectory alignment research, and AI behavioral evals.
- Bring state‑of‑the‑art thinking from academia, industry, and trajectory evals to shape Microsoft's enterprise agentic tools evaluations strategy.
