Healthcare is at an inflection point. AI has the potential to fundamentally change how people understand their health, how clinicians practice medicine, and how systems deliver care — but only if it is built with deep domain experience, clinical credibility, and profound respect for human trust. Microsoft is building Copilot as a new interface for thinking, learning, and living — and health is one of its most consequential frontiers.
As Director of Product Marketing Management for Health, you will help define how AI shows up in people’s health journeys, how it earns trust, and how it becomes indispensable to billions of people around the world.
This is not a downstream marketing role. You will own the upstream truth of our Health products: the user and competitive insights, the narrative, the category framing, and the strategic conditions that ensure we build solutions that that are genuinely improving health outcomes and offering a viable and compelling alternative to competitive offers already gaining traction.
This is a product influencing, narrative defining role for a director-level health product marketing manager who has already worked in healthcare and understands the realities of clinical workflows, patient needs, regulatory environments, and the ethical stakes of building in this space.
You will work alongside some of the world’s best clinicians, scientists, researchers, and product builders — and help shape the future of health at global scale.
This role is critical to ensuring our products don’t just exist, but meaningfully reach the people and systems that need them. It shapes how AI delivers real‑world value in health through execution—turning ambition into adoption and innovation into trusted outcomes.
Microsoft brings not just the platform scale to make health innovation real, but also the deep institutional commitment to trust, privacy and responsible AI, and the resources and resolve to build in healthcare the right way—not the fast way.
Together, we contribute to Microsoft’s mission is to empower every person and every organization on the planet to achieve more. As employees we come together with a growth mindset, innovate to empower others, and collaborate to realize our shared goals. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.
In alignment with our Microsoft values, we are committed to cultivating an inclusive work environment for all employees to positively impact our culture every day.
Responsibilities
- Deep health industry, clinical and user understanding: Working very closely with the Product Team and Domain resources, you will be a very deep source of truth on the healthcare landscape as it relates to Copilot — including clinical workflows, patient needs, regulatory considerations, competitive dynamics, emerging models of care, and commercial models. You will synthesize industry knowledge, competitive intelligence, and qualitative and quantitative user research to shape product direction and define “what should be true” for us to win in health. You will develop an understanding on how ordinary people are reacting to/engaging with AI health experiences, and what we need to do in order to deeply connect with their emotional, mental, and physical needs better than anyone else.
- Narrative before product: Support the Product Team in articulating the user promise, emotional center, and differentiated value of Copilot in health long before features ship — and use that narrative to influence product strategy, experience design, and quality bars.
- Roadmap shaping with conviction: You will partner deeply with Product, Design, Research, and Engineering to push for the features, experiences, safeguards, and standards required for clinical credibility, user trust, retention, and long term value.
- Category-defining positioning: You will craft positioning that is clear, human, uniquely ownable, and clinically credible
- Early go-to-market (GTM) and Creative Development: Contribute meaningfully to the earliest phases of go to market and creative thinking: the insight, the story, the cultural and clinical relevance, and the ambition for launch.
- Messaging architecture and naming: Build scalable frameworks for naming, messaging, and value propositions across a growing health portfolio — ensuring clarity, coherence, and emotional resonance across audiences ranging from consumers to clinicians.
- Leadership and team: Elevate a product marketing management (PMM) culture that values writing, taste, product intuition, and courage — not project management. Mentor and influence other PMMs and help set the standard for what great health PMM looks like at Microsoft AI. Maintain a deep, institutional commitment to trust, privacy, and responsible AI.
- Domain Experience: Maintain deep health domain knowledge, particularly with regards to US healthcare. Strategic health research (industry, clinical, competitive, user) that shapes product roadmaps
- Product and Roadmap Influence: Product narrative and positioning for Copilot’s health experiences, Roadmap influence and cross functional alignment across Product, Design, Research, and Engineering
- Early GTM and creative development: Drive naming, messaging, and value proposition frameworks, in partnership with GTM and Creative leaders across consumer and enterprise audiences. Deep involvement in launch strategy and integrated marketing planning
- Measurement and analytics: Understand what drives trust, engagement, and retention over time
- Other: Embody our Culture and Values
