Overview

The Microsoft 365 Copilot team is seeking a Senior Product Marketing Manager Microsoft 365 Copilot to drive outbound product marketing that spans content creation, storytelling, technical product understanding, and product shaping. In this role, you will help shape how we bring Microsoft 365 Copilot to market by translating product truth, customer needs, and market opportunity into compelling narratives, differentiated positioning, and effective go-to-market execution. This role is ideal for someone equally comfortable building a messaging framework, pressure-testing product strategy with engineering, developing high-quality content for launches or executive moments, and conducting research to validate use cases and customer proof points. You should bring a comprehensive product marketing foundation, exceptional storytelling instincts, technical fluency, and a bias for action in fast-moving, ambiguous environments. You’ll partner closely with product, engineering, design, business planning, sales, and marketing teams to land clear, credible, and inspiring AI content that resonates with multiple audiences including customers, media, and analysts.



Responsibilities

Translate complex product capabilities, platform innovations, and roadmap direction into simple, compelling narratives and content that work across audiences and channels. Contribute to launches, campaigns, and key marketing moments by owning core messaging, content, and enablement deliverable. Create and evolve core marketing assets such as messaging frameworks, audience narratives, scenario-based stories, pitch decks, briefs, launch materials, and executive-ready content. Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and design teams to build technical understanding, validate product truth, and translate product capabilities into market-ready storytelling. Drive positioning, messaging, and storytelling for Microsoft 365 Copilot scenarios, ensuring clarity, differentiation, and customer relevance. Bring a comprehensive customer and market perspective to the work, using insights to sharpen positioning and identify opportunities to strengthen resonance and differentiation. Identify opportunities to experiment with new storytelling formats, creative approaches, and AI-forward marketing experiences. Collaborate across marketing, communications, sales, and leadership teams to ensure our customer-facing assets are cohesive, credible, and high quality from strategy through execution.



Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 3+ years experience in business OR Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Business or related field AND 5+ years experience in business OR equivalent experience.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience AND 8+ years experience, OR Master’s degree or equivalent experience AND 6+ years experience, OR equivalent experience.
  • Experience marketing AI, SaaS, productivity, cloud, or enterprise technology solutions.
  • Experience developing positioning, messaging, and go-to-market content for complex technology products or platforms.
  • Experience building narratives that are strategic, audience-relevant, and grounded in product truth.
  • Strong technical fluency with AI, productivity, or cloud products, and the ability to partner credibly with product and engineering teams.
  • Experience leading or contributing to launches, campaigns, executive communications, or sales enablement.
  • Customer and market orientation, with the ability to connect innovation to customer scenarios and business outcomes.
  • Ability to operate with ownership while navigating ambiguity in a dynamic environment and quickly adapt to evolving business priorities.
  • Strong communication skills with experience creating content for diverse audiences and formats.
  • Demonstrated experience working across a wide range of stakeholders including product, engineering, field, PR, analyst relations, and executive teams, to deliver integrated outbound work.


Product Marketing IC4 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $106,400 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $137,600 - $222,600 per year.
