Creates and leads enterprise transformation strategies for high-impact, highly visible strategic accounts that shape market leadership, accelerate innovation, and drive long-term business outcomes for customers and Microsoft. Operates at the intersection of industry strategy, executive engagement, and cross-company orchestration to help customers navigate complex business, technology, and operating model transformation.Builds and expands senior executive relationships across customer organizations, Microsoft leadership, partners, and industry stakeholders to establish governance models, drive alignment, accelerate execution, and resolve complex strategic challenges. Develops deep understanding of industry trends, market dynamics, competitive pressures, regulatory considerations, and evolving business models to identify opportunities that strengthen customer competitiveness and position Microsoft as a trusted strategic partner.Leverages strong business acumen, industry expertise, and executive presence to influence transformation strategies, shape enterprise priorities, and align broad internal and external stakeholder groups around shared long-term objectives. Operates in close partnership with senior Microsoft executives, product organizations, engineering teams, and partner ecosystems to mobilize coordinated action for complex, high-visibility engagements.Builds trusted advisor relationships with senior business and technology leaders and applies business-value selling strategies to influence enterprise strategy, guide investment decisions, and deliver measurable business impact. Leads the development and execution of dynamic, insight-driven strategic plans grounded in executive governance, market intelligence, industry thought leadership, and long-term transformation priorities. Builds trust by bringing strategic perspective, constructively challenging conventional thinking, and introducing forward-looking ideas aligned to customers’ business strategy and evolving market environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead enterprise-wide transformation strategies with senior customer stakeholders, aligning technology, business priorities, operating models, and measurable long-term outcomes
- Shape and execute integrated strategic account plans that align customer priorities, Microsoft investments, partner capabilities, and executive governance frameworks
- Orchestrate large cross-functional and cross-company stakeholder groups, driving alignment, accountability, and coordinated execution across sales, engineering, product, partner, and support organizations
- Build trusted advisor relationships with senior business and technology executives, influencing enterprise strategy, investment direction, transformation priorities, and organizational change initiatives
- Establish and lead executive governance models that enable strategic decision-making, risk management, issue resolution, and long-term alignment between customers and Microsoft senior leadership
- Partner closely with Microsoft executives, engineering leaders, product organizations, and executive sponsors to align priorities, accelerate innovation, and drive coordinated action across complex strategic engagements
- Navigate ambiguity, organizational complexity, and competing priorities to define clear enterprise transformation strategies and scalable paths to execution
- Apply industry expertise and market insight to anticipate emerging trends, evolving competitive dynamics, and business model shifts impacting customer strategy and long-term growth
- Drive complex, high-impact strategic initiatives from ideation through execution, including shaping business cases, guiding executive negotiations, influencing investment decisions, and aligning diverse stakeholders
- Activate and coordinate a broad partner ecosystem to deliver differentiated business outcomes, accelerate transformation initiatives, and extend Microsoft’s strategic impact across the customer environment
- Serve as a strategic advocate for the customer within Microsoft by influencing priorities, aligning resources, escalating systemic challenges, and mobilizing cross-company support
- Represent Microsoft as an industry thought leader by bringing strategic insights, market perspective, innovation frameworks, and forward-looking recommendations to executive customer engagements
- Foster long-term customer trust through strategic partnership, executive engagement, and the consistent delivery of insight-driven guidance aligned to customer objectives and market evolution
Qualifications
Required/minimum qualifications
- Experience in financial services, asset management, capital markets, or similarly complex regulated industries
- Experience in consulting, professional services, or advisory roles driving enterprise transformation initiatives
- Demonstrated experience leading multi-year, outcome-driven partnerships with measurable business impact
- Recognized industry expertise or thought leadership within financial services, capital markets, or enterprise technology transformation
- Experience advising C-suite leaders on enterprise operating model transformation, innovation strategy, and organizational change
- Experience working across global, matrixed organizations to mobilize resources and drive strategic business outcomes at scale
- Strong executive communication, strategic thinking, and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate ambiguity and influence at scale
Strategic Account Management IC6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $158,400.00 - $243,000.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $202,000.00 - $267,000.00 per year.
