Python Quantitative Developer

Millennium is a top tier global hedge fund with a strong commitment to technology and data science.

We are looking for a Quantitative Developer to join our Risk Technology team who has a strong mathematical background, is passionate about finance, and is a quick learner.

The developer will use Python, AWS and data manipulation libraries to provide risk managers with data-driven insights on our fund’s risk profile.

Our Israel office is located in the Bursa area of Ramat Gan and offers a hybrid work model.
As a global firm, English proficiency is a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with quants, risk managers and other technologists in New York, Miami, London and Singapore to develop risk analytics solutions for our business (Fixed-Income, Commodities, Equities etc.)
  • Develop micro-services, data ingestion pipelines and APIs to feed tools and dashboards that monitor Millennium’s market risks live.
  • Analyse data with pandas/polars to present data in the most impactful way possible.
  • Create and manage cloud applications using AWS.
  • Utilise Git and appropriate DBMS solutions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering or similar, from a leading university. (M.A. degree is a plus)
  • Passion for working in finance.
  • Strong analytical skills & problem-solving capabilities.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working with Python, and data analysis libraries (Pandas/Polars/Numpy).
  • Experience with REST APIs and cloud services.
  • Relational SQL database development experience.
  • Unix/Linux command-line experience.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail oriented, organised, demonstrating thoroughness and strong ownership of work.

Desirable skills/experience:

  • Experience with financial mathematics, statistics and broad understanding of financial services/instruments.
  • Prior experience of working directly with risk management/trading functions.
  • Experience in JavaScript development, especially in AngularJS or ReactJS.
  • Experience in Java development.
