Brokerage Specialist - Futures

Job Function Summary

The Brokerage Specialist role will support trading activity of portfolio managers trading listed Futures and Options on Futures. The role will primarily focus on brokerage static set-up, reconciliation and payment; with primary responsibilities targeted towards US exchanges (CME/CBT). The candidate should have subject matter expertise in the intricacies of futures & options on futures execution brokerage, with SME knowledge on static set-up, rate structures, and documentation of give-up agreements.

Principal Responsibilities

• Oversee static set-up and maintenance of 3rd Party Execution, Pit Brokerage, and Exchange Fee rates in internal & external trading and accrual platforms
• Liaise with Executing & Pit Brokers to initiate and execute all required give-up documentation for the execution of futures & options on futures on US Exchanges (CME/CBT)
• Manage reconciliation of 3rd party execution fees inside of Atlantis & Pit Brokerage in BPS/GPS Exchange systems
• Oversee payment of Execution brokerage/Pit brokerage in Atlantis/GPS/BPS & maintain proper controls to settle manual invoices where necessary
• Coordinate payments of exchange fees in EFS & NFA fees to all regulatory bodies
• Coordinate amongst various internal and external stakeholders, to efficiently and effectively maintain controls, mitigate risk, and resolve brokerage and fee related issues
• Participate in ad-hoc projects/initiatives and work with colleagues across the firm to implement process changes/improvements
• Establish working relationships with trading teams in order to answer daily queries in a prompt and controlled manner

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in Financial Services
• Experience in Clearing Operations at a Broker/Dealer and/or FCM
• Knowledge of Futures back-office clearing, brokerage, & fee systems is a must. GMI/FIS CD/Clearvision/Atlantis/GPS/BPS/EFS
• Strong working knowledge of futures give-up documentation within eDocs is a must.
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel/Office. Comfortable using Macros/Pivot & working with large data sets
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to implement and maintain new processes, procedures, and controls
• Fast learner with the ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet strict deadlines
• Ability to work independently, with a strong attention to detail and ownership

Millennium pays a total compensation package which includes a base salary, discretionary performance bonus, and a comprehensive benefits package. The estimated base salary range for this position is $70,000 to $160,000. When finalizing an offer, we take into consideration an individual’s experience level and the qualifications they bring to the role to formulate a competitive total compensation package
