Summary:
Millennium is seeking a driven and detail-oriented operations specialist to join our Operations team.
This position will offer exposure to various markets and the opportunity to work between several teams globally in the firm as well as directly with
portfolio managers and our Prime Brokers.
The successful candidate will have the initiative to seek out opportunities to work on strategic projects and be able to manage them through completion, with a focus on process improvement and efficiency.
They will also be on a small team with broad product exposure to various bond products, including domestic and other non-dollar.
Principal Responsibilities:
Build and maintain relationships with firm counterparties.
Reconciliation of trading affirmation/confirmation platforms for T0 matching to ensure all breaks are cleared and accounted for on a daily basis.
Research/Resolve breaks for Rates/Credit/FX/Equity derivative products and escalate to resolve on a daily basis with Millennium trading desk and portfolio managers.
Work closely with Global Middle Office and Operations.
Provide a daily report EOD for all outstanding items.
Onboarding of new brokers on to the T0 matching platforms.
Qualifications/Skills Required:
Strong product and working knowledge of either two
products-Rates, Credit, FX and Equity Derivatives.Undergraduate degree in a business-related discipline
(finance, economics, accounting, etc.)Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with PM’s and brokers.
Ability to work independently.
Proficiency with Excel.
Well- organized, detail- oriented; able to multi-task and keep track of various deadlines.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Working knowledge and experience with CTM.
