Operations Analyst
Corporate Services, New York
The Operations Analyst at Moelis & Company will help manage and optimize Corporate Services processes while ensuring compliance with company policies, provide insights to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, and serve as a point of contact for employee inquiries regarding travel bookings, expense submissions, and reimbursements. This role will report to the Vice President of Operations and be a member of the global Corporate Services team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Travel & Expense (T&E) processes, expense reporting tools, and corporate travel policies.
Key Responsibilities
Travel & Expense
- Understand end-to-end T&E processing and proactively seek opportunities for improvements and enhancements to the platform.
- Support the implementation of new T&E technologies and processes including AI tools and other system integrations while managing the ongoing system configurations/administration of existing tools.
- Train new administrative hires in T&E processes and provide an overview of the company’s policies.
- Provide ongoing support to employees regarding the use of the T&E system (Concur) and the T&E policy, ensuring high-quality service delivery to end-users and addressing inquiries in a timely and effective manner.
Policy & Process Improvement
- Support the team to identify business trends and use analysis to help inform and influence changes to policies and/or processes
- Assist employees with travel-related questions to ensure compliance with travel policies and regulations; provide ongoing guidance and training to travel bookers regarding compliance.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities across global operations.
Operational & Administrative Support
- Collaborate with other departments to address T&E-related requests and approvals, including Events and Business Management teams.
- Liaise with Accounting, Finance, and Tax departments to ensure the financial impact of initiatives, strategies and policies are accurately and effectively accounted for.
- Serve as the point person for corporate programs, including but not limited to, American Express, Uber for Business, and Seamless Corporate.
- Provide support for ad-hoc Corporate Services projects as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, travel, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with Concur or other expense management platforms.
- Investigative thinker with problem solving skills, ability to research problems and drive resolutions.
- Ability to interpret T&E Policies and apply them to real-world scenarios.
- Proficiency in Excel a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and organization skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Estimated Salary Range: $75,000- 90,000
