VICE PRESIDENT, INVESTMENT BANKING sought by Moelis & Company Group LP in New York, NY.
JOB DUTIES:
Direct and manage a wide variety of quantitative analyses, including leverage buyout models, discounted cash flow, multiple valuation analysis, merger and acquisition accretion/dilution analysis and credit analysis for client and investor presentations. Develop investment scenarios and corresponding presentation/prospectus material, coordinated marketing for public private securities offerings, valuation analysis, business plans, and financial projections. Leverage the Firm’s capital markets, proprietary research and analytical capabilities to provide top-notch investment, risk advisory, merger & acquisition and capital markets services. Monitor relevant transactions, capital market trends, company financial statements, industry, regulatory, and economic information, and other important assessments in the financial sector. Work directly with Executive Directors and Managing Directors in all facets of business, including marketing, transaction evaluation and transaction processing, as well as oversee lower-level subordinates consisting of Analysts and Associates within the Real Estate, Gaming and Lodging Group.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field, plus three (3) years of financial management or related analysis experience in the finance or investment banking industry, including experience in corporate finance; restructuring transactions; performing financial research and analysis; performing research and valuation analysis; and creating client-specific financial models.
Alternatively, will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or related field, plus five (5) years of financial management or related analysis experience in the finance or investment banking industry, including experience in corporate finance; restructuring transactions; performing financial research and analysis; performing research and valuation analysis; and creating client-specific financial models.
Experience must include two (2) years of experience executing capital markets transactions; structuring and executing transactions within M&A; debt and equity offerings; debt and equity transactions; monitoring relevant transactions and market conditions; building and maintaining client relationships; and overseeing and reviewing work of associate or analyst level staff in the investment banking industry.
*Specific skills: Also requires experience or knowledge in the following: 1) Experience creating client and pitch presentations including marketing materials; 2) Knowledge of capital markets (public and private); 3) Knowledge of transaction structuring and financial advisory; 4) Knowledge of S&P Capital IQ, Bloomberg and FactSet; 5) Experience using Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word; and 6) Knowledge of accounting principles and financial statement accounts

Must have Series 7, 79 and 63 licenses.
SALARY RANGE:
The salary for this position in New York City is expected to be $250,000 per year. Base pay is based on market location & may vary based on experience, skills, education & other job-related reasons.
