We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Senior Business Analyst, Strategic Transformation who will drive the strategic transformation of MSIM Operations by partnering with MSIM Operations Platform Owners, business leadership and key support partners.

In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.

This is a Vice President level position within Change, Analytics & Strategy, which is responsible for developing operating and technology strategies, managing and executing transformation initiatives, leading Agile fleet activities, driving innovation, developing analytics solutions and delivering business outcomes.

What you’ll do in the role:

• Oversee complex process management and change efforts, developing and implementing business plan and strategic vision for a group of specialists or varied specialist functions within allocated budget

• Address highly complex or time sensitive business matters, leveraging relationships across functional groups to define and deliver solutions

• Manage multiple projects/products simultaneously with accountability for risks associated with delivery and execution of the project/program, engaging with internal and / or external stakeholders in the decision-making process and managing relationships with partners across the organization

Experience with design thinking, business analysis, and process re-engineering
Designing and implementing target operating models, and/or other strategic transformation initiatives
Automation of operational processes
Agile implementation and familiarity with agile ways of working
Exposure and/or familiarity with Operational Platforms supporting Investment Management Operations: e.g. Regulatory/Transaction Reporting, Equity/FID Portfolio Services, Client Onboarding, Fund Services, Transfer Agency Function, Mutual Funds, Alternative Investments
Understanding of financial market products such as funds, equity, fixed income, derivatives, and alternatives

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Broad understanding across multiple processes, systems and markets in addition to detailed subject matter expertise of various key products/processes

• Role model that advocates for your team, motivates and engages staff to achieve vision and inspire respect; supports and promotes the Firm’s vision and values

Experience in Financial Services industry: Investment Management, Investment Banking and/or Operations knowledge a plus.
Expertise delivering products, projects, or technology applications.
Extensive knowledge of the product development life cycle, design, and data analytics
Strong experience with Design Thinking & Ideation
Skilled in automation tools such as Alteryx, Power BI and UI Path
Agile expertise and mindset with a strong working knowledge of Agile as a method for program delivery
Knowledge of performing operational efficiency assessments and solution design
Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures
Innovation mindset and interest in strategic developments across the banking operations industry
Experience in matrix/virtual management & engagement with a desire to operate and influence at a cross-platform & F2B level
Passionate about Transformation and keen to operate at a strategic level

Role is Hybrid and will require in office attendance 3 days/week.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $100,000 and $175,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
