A business unit within Investment Banking, Morgan Stanley’s Private Capital Advisory (“PCA”) group, is seeking an Associate in the New York office. The Private Capital Advisory team is a global team focused on advising leading financial sponsors and institutional investors on a wide range of strategic liquidity solutions including but not limited to: continuation funds, strip sales and fund tender offers. The team works closely with industry and product groups across the firm to provide relevant market insight, structuring advice, and best-in-class execution to clients.

As a member of the team, successful candidates will be responsible for providing advisory, structuring and execution services to clients with investments across the private capital universe. The successful candidate will work closely with professionals throughout the firm to deliver high quality advice to our clients. You will play an important role on a team that includes senior professionals who will encourage you to go beyond the numbers and think creatively.

- 3-5 years of experience within the investment banking or private equity secondary industry as an Analyst and/or Associate

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

- Strong analytical and quantitative skills

- Commercial instinct and ability to perform under pressure and tight deadlines

- Extraordinarily high level of motivation and proven self-starter

- Bachelor’s degree is required; an MBA would be an asset

- Series licensing or must obtain

- Based in New York or willing to relocate

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $150,000 and $225,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
