In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley's workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively and efficiently work in the service of our clients. This is a Vice President position within Corporate Real Estate, which is responsible for overseeing the management, workplace design and leasing activities of the Firm's properties. May also include the purchasing of properties and all related responsibilities.

The Global Workplace Design, Planning & Experience agenda is to:
-Create a work environment that provides a meaningful employee and client experience, helps attract and retain top talent, supports health and wellbeing of building occupants, optimizes our real estate portfolio, and delivers value for investment.
-Develop a platform which provides clear governance and policy, process and methodology, scalable solutions, and measures the effectiveness and efficiency of our workplace to support employee engagement productivity.
-Implement Workplace Evolution; Morgan Stanley's workplace strategy for projects across the portfolio, including Branch of the Future for Wealth Management locations.
What you'll do in the role:
The Workplace Experience Design & Planning team is looking for a professional with relevant experience to provide workplace strategy, design and experience program oversight for our Americas real estate portfolio. Act as a key member of the team to;
-Inform and assist with development of long-term strategies with the Regional Real Estate Portfolio Strategy lead.
-Manage the America's workplace effectiveness in leading a multi-year strategy to drive efficiency, productivity and continually enrich the value of the (Real Estate) workplace to Firm stakeholders.
-Coordinate with all aspects of program delivery including headcount tracking, workplace client scope development, business unit engagement, space requirements, space planning, project management support, quality assurance reviews, workplace change management and end users communication channels, and workplace experience strategy development.
-Support management of relevant architecture/ design/ workplace consultants as required.
-Support coordination of senior stakeholder approvals throughout the project process.
-Leverage existing Global Workplace Guidelines, governance, policies, planning metrics, principles, best practices and lessons learned to provide appropriate implementation strategies and solutions for the project. Manage workplace guidelines exceptions and maintain a register of approvals for cyclical review.
-Leverage other Workplace Design & Planning team
What you'll bring to the role:
-Awareness of linkage between design, real estate planning & financial results, and with ability to tailor strategic direction to address financial challenges.
-Requires project management capabilities with experience in the end to end project execution process for major commercial interior design fit out projects. Key skills include occupancy and space planning, workplace strategy experience, design quality control/assurance reviews, technical expertise around construction practices, materials life cycle knowledge, and FF&E specification experience.
-Experience in review of design intent 2D and 3D medium, e.g. sketches, elevations, sections and perspectives.
-Understanding of current workplace planning theories. Advanced knowledge of design, trends, construction methodology, materials application and manufacturer-supplier appropriateness.
-Proven organizational skills, ability to prioritize in order to meet deadlines and provide high quality service to clients.
-A flexible approach with the ability to adapt to changing conditions and priorities and to work in a collaborative team environment.
-Distills complex information to the essential for client decision-making. Capable of participating in discussions with internal clients on design and space use concepts
-Interpersonal skills with the ability to present to and communicate with demanding clients within the Business Units, managing expectations throughout the design and delivery process.
-Excellent team work with ability work cross functionally and coordinate with a global team
-Ability to draw on data and research, articulate a 'story' from data and present it in a clear and concise way.
-Bachelor or Master's degree in architecture, interior design / planning and workplace strategy.
-8 - 10 years relevant space planning, design and project management in Corporate/Financial Services industry is advantageous.
-LEED AP, WELL Accreditation are advantageous
-Computer skills in Microsoft platforms. Basic AutoCAD skills.
-Moderate travel may be required as this is a regional role
