We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in DWTO (Direct Workplace & Tax Operations) team, which supports millions of Morgan Stanley institutional and Wealth Management clients. Functions within DWTO include Tax Operations, Morgan Stanley at Work (Stock Plan), and E*TRADE Operations teams Margin, Middle Office, and Correspondence
Operations is one of the largest divisions in the firm and has diverse responsibilities, including correctly settling and recording millions of transactions per day, identifying, and mitigating all operational risks, developing strong client relationships, and partnering with technology to realize the full potential of IT and e-solutions. Throughout, the Operations department continually seeks ways to improve while actively supporting the development of new businesses, structures, and markets
The Digital Direct Vice President will oversee multiple teams supporting the self-directed channel. Candidate will manage a team that provides support to various operation processes across varying client segments and is expected to interface with Control groups, Risk Management teams, and report status in applicable Governance forums. Ideal applicant will serve as an on-site supervisor to diverse team by developing talent of both individual contributors and team leads while encouraging change and growth to help overall team thrive in a fast-paced environment.

What you’ll do in the role:
· Knowledge or familiarity with Agile & SDLC Project Management
· Optimize team structure to efficiently onboard, train & support onshore teams while maintaining high productivity
· Produce, compile, and distribute production reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis
· Organize and prioritize work to meet strict SLAs for teams under purview
· Continually seek ways to improve processes, policies & product offerings while ensuring regulatory compliance
· Manage ad-hoc reporting requirements for Digital Direct channel by applying knowledge of Workflow production, capacity, and performance of the business
· Identify potential automation improvement opportunities & support firm initiatives on efficiency
· Build network of relationships both within and outside division to secure resources and support operations by adapting to evolving business needs
· Collaborate & interact with stakeholders in all various settings – as an officer, represent the organization in positive & professional manner
· Lead leaders of teams and develop talented individuals for future growth opportunities by helping them navigate the organization and enriching their experience.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a sense of ownership & accountability
· Superior organizational & follow-through skills with commitment to the success of the business
· Ability to coach and manage performance of a large team while balancing a workload
What you’ll bring to the role:
· Knowledge of Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), FINRA and Investment Compliance Policies
· Advanced knowledge of Regulation T and FINRA 4210 regulations preferred
· Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data to drive decision-making and build consensus by assembling cohesive, senior management-ready decks.
· Develop and refine communication cadence with US based stakeholders to share status of work, insights, and operational opportunities
· Excellent relationship building expertise to effectively collaborate with internal & onshore partners
Required Skills:
· Thorough understanding of US financial products, trading rules and regulatory landscape specifically, an in-depth knowledge of Equities, Fixed Income and Options products
· A minimum of 5-10 years of experience as a people manager, preferably in the financial services industry
· Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present complex information/ideas in a clear and concise manner
· Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization
· Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent is required or minimum of 8 years of consistent supervisory experience
· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint). Additional experience in PowerBI, VBA, Tableau and SQL are beneficial
