Morgan Stanley is seeking a Risk professional supports Morgan Stanley to achieve its business goals by partnering with business units across the Firm to realize efficient risk-adjusted returns, acting as a strategic advisor to the Board and protecting the Firm from exposure to losses as a result of credit, market, liquidity, operational, model and other risks.

What will you be doing?
- · Involvement in strategic market risk workstreams including FRTB, EBA Benchmarking, Trading Wind-Down and other regulatory deliverables
- · Ensure ongoing regulatory compliance including participation in regulatory self-assessments, review of new regulatory requirements, and preparation of regulatory disclosures and submissions (for example ICAAP and Pillar 3)
- · Assess the coverage and performance of risk models and the respective data, process and governance controls; work with relevant groups to address deficiencies
- · Contribute to the implementation and maintenance of the market risk framework (including policies and procedures), ensuring alignment with industry best practices, regulatory standards and firm objectives
- · Work closely with Risk Managers, Risk Analytics and IT in specifying, managing and testing change initiatives
- · Provide impactful analysis of key risks to the firm in a timely manner
What we’re looking for:
- · Bachelors degree or equivalent
- · Relevant experience in market risk, risk governance or related role
- · Understanding of key market risk concepts (e.g. traded products, VaR, stress testing, risk/limit management)
- · Understanding of the Market Risk regulatory capital framework including VaR, SVaR, IRC, Risks not in VaR and FRTB

Where will you be working?
The Market Risk Division (MRD) is responsible for the independent identification, analysis, reporting and escalation of all market risk exposures arising from EMEA business activities, acting independently of business management and providing an effective challenge process.
The successful candidate will join the global MRD Governance and Controls team and will work on a number of change and cross-asset regulatory initiatives with a focus on regulatory compliance and governance covering Asia, EMEA and USA.
