We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President of Digital Executive Protection to lead our Digital Executive Protection Program which will be critical to understanding and responding to the dynamic digital and physical threat landscape of our executives and assets.

In the Corporate Services division, we provide solutions that enable Morgan Stanley’s workforce, across our global workplace locations, to effectively and efficiently work in the service of our clients. This is a Vice President position within Security & Investigations, which develops and implements security and life safety strategies for all Firm employees and facilities.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Conduct complex investigations based on behavioral threat data science techniques across multiple business segments from a variety of internal and external channels (primary focus on insider threat).
  • Gather information, evidence, and provide investigative direction and consultative services to law enforcement.
  • Analyze data and trends to support internal and external physical and digital threat investigations; develop and implement proactive response plans and programs.
  • Communicate Global Security’s position effectively to key internal stakeholders, and fully support senior leadership in the development and implementation of initiatives and programs to detect, investigate, and mitigate threats.
  • Provide strong subject matter expertise in the areas of insider threat, cybercrime, security and investigative operations, and data-driven investigations.
  • Continually identify, evaluate, and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities, and provide Executive Protection Operations team & Logistics Manager the information required to make critical decisions.
  • Conduct intelligence assessments in coordination with Physical Security team of external venues and other related locations and providing recommendations relating to optimal security coverage or identify gaps.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • Possess an advanced level of understanding of investigative techniques and threat-based intelligence analysis and to detect threats and apply mitigation strategies.
  • In-depth understanding of the threats affecting executives, corporate assets, and events.
  • Experience in data visualization, network analysis, and application of structured analytic techniques to generate and test hypotheses, assess cause and effect, challenge analysis, and support decision making.
  • Working knowledge in one or more of the following areas: data science, analysis, protective intelligence, executive protection, close protection, counterintelligence, insider threat, or all-source intelligence.
  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a mission critical environment with a background in the following: insider threat, intelligence, law enforcement executive protection or data analysis related disciplines.
  • Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Data Analysis, Data Science, Engineering, or Technology.
  • Effective organizational skills (including attention to detail) along with the ability to collaborate and influence in a matrixed environment.
  • Must have solid critical thinking and effective time management skills with ability to prioritize based on changing environment.
  • In-depth understanding of adversary tools, tactics, procedures, and threats impacting the financial sector.
  • Solid understanding of insider threat, executive protection, and physical security.
  • Strong level of understanding of investigative techniques, OSINT, and intelligence analysis to detect and resolve threat risk activity.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, analytic writing, interpersonal collaborative skills, and effective communication.
  • Demonstrated in-depth understanding of risk management and innovatively develops solutions and makes recommendations to management to mitigate risks.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $120,000 and $190,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
