We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Java Software Engineer in Wealth Management Technology.

In the Technology division, we leverage innovation to build the connections and capabilities that power our Firm, enabling our clients and colleagues to redefine markets and shape the future of our communities. This is a Java Software Engineer position at a Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:

  • Participate in the design, implementation, and testing of cloud-native Java applications

  • Be self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and an excellent team player, and be prepared to work in a global virtual team along with NY and offshore team members

  • Work with senior Business Partners and Program Management team to deliver the solution

  • Ensure project deliverables are completed on time, within budget and to the highest level of quality

  • Work with application support teams to ensure timely issue resolution and thorough support processes

What you'll bring to the role:

  • At least Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field, or equivalent

  • At least 3 years of Java development experience or equivalent

  • Solid core Java knowledge

  • Knowledge of a popular Java unit testing framework (e.g., JUnit 5 or TestNG)

  • SQL knowledge

  • Knowledge of JPA implementation such as Hibernate

  • Knowledge of using source control tools (preferably Git), and build tools (such as Maven or Gradle)

  • Knowledge with performance tuning, troubleshooting and remediation

  • Basic scripting knowledge using a popular scripting language (Bash, Ksh, Python) for automation tasks

  • Knowledge of working with Agile development teams at scale

  • Good communication skills (both written and oral)
