This role is part of Parametric's hybrid working model, which includes working in the office 3 days a week and choosing to work remotely or in the office the remaining days of the week.
ABOUT THE TEAM
The Platform Solution Management team at Parametric is responsible for defining and enabling cross-platform business solutions that meet the needs of clients over time. Solutions are products, services or systems that provide value to the client, whether internal or external to the PPA enterprise. Sitting at the intersection of business, client, and technology, we collaborate with multiple teams to understand solution context and define the solution vision, roadmap and capability set.
ABOUT THE ROLE
The Senior Business Analyst will partner closely with the Platform Solution Management team and with technology teams on solutions from inception through ongoing maintenance. This position will play a pivotal role in providing analysis, including extensive data analysis, support from ideation to implementation of new technology and processes, including workflow, operational process, systems, and data flow design for Parametric. This position will lead business and functional requirements gathering, analysis and documentation, including workflows, wireframes, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping, data flows, assistance with user testing and where applicable, processes and procedures documentation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Communicate effectively - both verbally and written - to peers, business, and technology partners to include strong questioning and listening skills and the ability to look beyond obvious answers to understand impacts.
- Interview business/other solution management counterparts to effectively draw out and articulate the business need/problem/ opportunity to be addressed. Provide scaled options for implementation based on the business need.
- Gather and analyse requirements. Organize and document business needs to enable design and development, including elicitation and documentation of current state and future state workflows, user stories, acceptance criteria, data mapping and UI wireframes.
- Elicit and document processes and procedures, as well as partner in preparing training and adoption materials
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams.
- Provide consultation to development team and product owner for business facing application enhancements.
- Create test cases, coordinate user acceptance testing and verify production completeness.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS
SKILL SET
Required Experience: 7+ years.
Skill set: Business Analysis, Data Analysis, Feature specification
PRIMARY SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree required
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Analysis
- Strong communication, documentation, and presentation skills
- Strong domain knowledge in asset management
- Advanced experience working with Agile/Lean/Kanban software development processes
- Advanced skills using a variety of tools including but not limited to Confluence, Excel, SQL, Jira, Lucid/Visio
- Ability to understand data models and relationships within data
- Advanced querying and data mapping skills
- Ability to deep dive into root cause analysis and summarize findings
- Strong experience in extensive data analysis and ability to recommend solution options
- Advanced skills in technical and functional requirements gathering and documentation
- Advanced skills in workflow diagramming and UI wireframing
- Experience leading and directing others to achieve measurable results.
- Strong experience in partnering closely with implementation teams on feature design
- Demonstrated ability to articulate customized solutions to meet business requirements
- Understanding of analysis and documentation goals throughout the project lifecycle
- Strong domain knowledge in finance/asset management
- Ability to learn quickly and work in a changing environment and under tight deadlines
- Ability to independently manage personal timelines and meet tight deadlines
- Ability to successfully manage and coordinate simultaneous project deliverables across groups and teams
