Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC seeks to fill the position of Associate, Trading in New York, NY.
Establishing relationships and working closely with Prime Brokerage and Derivatives Clearing Sales and Client Coverage, Business Unit Risk Management, Legal, Compliance, Technology, Operations and other control groups. Serve as primary interface on risk issues with Legal, Compliance, Firm Risk Management (Market, Credit, Operational), Operations, IT, Finance, Internal Audit, etc. on all PB and DC related issues. Performing divisional operational risk management, including proposing processes and innovative solutions to address risk issues, risk incident collection and reporting. Serving as the primary interface on all day-to-day questions from Client Coverage and Sales people on legal, compliance, operations, reporting, IT, tax, booking and conflict issues. Leading various risk management projects. Drafting and reviewing senior management presentation material and PB or IED specific policies and procedures. Participating as an IED representative in Firm-wide working groups and governance forums to assess how different initiatives impact the IED business
Salary: Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $162000 and $200000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
Requirements:
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered or two (2) years of experience as an Analyst, or a related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with: the Capital Markets, Prime Brokerage business and financial concepts including: hedging, leverage, financing, and corporate actions; Hedge Fund strategies and their set up; the asset owner business model; listed derivatives and over the counter products; risk and control self assessments (RCSA); Know Your Client (KYC) processes and compliance; project management and process automation; and mining data for trends and patterns.
