Digital Marketing Technology Analytics Lead - Vice President - Data & Analytics Engineering

Profile Description

We’re seeking someone to join our team as Vice President, we are seeking an experienced Digital Marketing technical lead and Adobe Marketing Cloud platform expert with significant experience in the Analytics space. The person will be responsible for analytics technology strategy, technical analysis & design, hands-on development, and oversight of analytics team staff members. The individual will also work closely with the analytics team scrum master/project manager, web development leads and business sponsors to define approaches, priorities and timelines. Extensive knowledge of Adobe Analytics, Adobe Launch Tag Management, Adobe Target, Adobe Experience Platform (AEP), and Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is a must, as are solid communication skills (written and verbal)

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers shared technology services for Morgan Stanley supporting all business applications and end users. ETS provides capabilities for all stages of Morgan Stanley’s software development lifecycle, enabling productive coding, functional and integration testing, application releases, and ongoing monitoring and support for over 3,000 production applications. ETS also delivers all workplace technologies (desktop, mobile, voice, video, productivity, intranet/internet) in integrated configurations that boost the personal productivity of employees. Application and end user functions are delivered on a scalable, secure, and reliable infrastructure composed of seamlessly integrated datacenter, network, compute, cloud, storage, and database functions.

Supports clients in attracting, developing and engaging employees through Technology innovation. Implements Technology to help reinforce the Firm’s brand through driving new business and fostering business collaboration. Data & Analytics Engineering

This is Vice President position that provides specialist data analysis and expertise that drive decision-making and business insights as well as crafting data pipelines, implementing data models, optimizing data processes for improved data accuracy and accessibility, including applying machine learning and AI-based techniques.

What you’ll do in the role:

This is a hands-on (VP lead) position or a highly analytical, self-motivated individual who will be responsible for the analytics needs across Morgan Stanley's Firmwide Marketing and Corporate Communications organization.
The individual will work closely with the AEM Development team, Infrastructure teams, and Morgan Stanley's Digital Marketing group to:
• Research, identify and recommend strategic solutions based upon business problem statements and gaps.
• Perform technical analysis & design for analytics related initiatives.
• Implement technical requirements documents including Solution Design Reference (SDR)
• Provide technical guidance and oversight of analytics team members.
• Design and implement solutions for personalization, migration to Adobe Experience Platform, and Customer Journey Analytics
• Design and implement a solution for the deprecation of 3rd party cookies.
• Manage tag containers, variables and implement content tagging.
• Implement tags via Adobe Launch based upon Solutions Design Reference (SDR)
• Coordinate with website developers for Analytics integration.
• Perform end to end QA testing for Analytics and Target integrations.
• Manage ad pixels, third party tags for digital campaigns.
• Perform multiple client Web analytics tool implementation projects at once.
• Ensure analytics are consistently implemented across digital properties.
• Create dashboards in workspace for business to track website performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot analytics implementation and platform configuration issues.
• Maintain best practices.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• 7+ years hands on experience implementing Adobe Analytics integration using Adobe Launch
• 10+ years of experience in technical analysis, design and development
• Experience with Adobe Target personalization.
• Subject matter expert in Adobe's Marketing Cloud and product integration, especially around content management, analytics, segmentation, and targeting.
• Experience with developing custom reports via Adobe Analytics
• Strong hands-on with advanced JavaScript and jQuery
• Experience debugging with browser developer tools, Adobe Analytics debugger and Observe Point
• Well versed with Adobe Analytics features (variable configurations, segments, SAINT classifications etc.)
• Document Solution Design Reference (SDR)
• Fluent in digital marketing terminology
• Strong understanding of SDLC
• Ability to manage a project from start to finish and on-time.
• Highly organized and able to work on multiple projects/clients simultaneously.
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodologies.
• Java, SQL experience
• Polished and confident communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) with an emphasis on client-facing situations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Visio)
• Results driven and self-motivated.
• Self-starter

Skills Desired:
• Knowledge of interactive marketing initiatives and terminology (Personalization, Paid Search, SEO, Affiliate, Comparison Shopping Engines, Email)
• Knowledge of social publishing and social listening products
• Experience with email campaigns.
• Experience in Financial Services
• Experience using JIRA
