Job Summary
The Distribution & Website team within Firmwide Marketing builds the digital ecosystem for our prospects and clients through their digital channel of choice with a focus on improving customer experience, driving leads for our business, and underscoring our core values. The Relationship Marketing team, which sits within the Distribution & Website organization, is responsible for the strategy, execution and analysis of data driven sales and marketing email programs for the overall brand and our Morgan Stanley Investment Management division (spanning intermediary, institutional and international business units).

We are seeking a detailed-oriented and strategic Director, Relationship Marketing to serve as a key email marketing specialist. This pivotal role is critical in working closely with brand and business partners to develop, setup and deploy email campaigns using both Adobe and Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) tools. The ideal candidate will be responsible for end-to end Morgan Stanley / Morgan Stanley Investment Management campaign execution, including segmentation, personalization, automation, testing, and reporting. Reporting to the Vice President, Relationship Marketing, you'll collaborate across cross-functional teams to deploy email marketing campaigns to support critical business initiatives. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in email marketing automation, personalization, and workflow optimization including hands-on management of Stensul (DIY Email Creation tool) to streamline email production.

Primary Responsibilities
> Email Setup and Deployment: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan, build, test and deploy complex email campaigns, while ensuring alignment with business objectives. Oversee email automation, segmentation, and personalization strategies to drive engagement.
> Data and Segmentation: Lead the migration of data from multiple Content Relationship Management platforms (CRM) into a centralized CRM platform that will become the primary source for email campaigns. Support data and analytics teams to clean data and build segmentation models for targeted campaigns.
> Campaign Execution: Partner with Sales and Business stakeholders to build journeys and enhanced automation in Salesforce Marketing Cloud to develop and execute targeted email campaigns to drive sales and support retention. Identify opportunities to automate recurring campaigns and streamline email operations.
> A/B Testing and Optimization: Implement A/B testing strategies to continuously improve email engagement and conversion rates.
> Manage Large-Scale Technology Programs: Partner with technology to build key programs to support subscription preference centers, dynamic newsletters, automation.
> Stensul Template Management: Manage and maintain email templates within Stensul (DIY Email Creation tool that align with brand and compliance guidelines. Train and support internal teams on Stensul best practices, ensuring adoption of streamline processes.
> Compliance & Best Practices: Ensure all email campaigns adhere to relevant regulations and following best practices.

Requirements

> 5-8 years of relevant experience within email marketing, including at least 3 years of experience building, executing and modifying marketing campaigns using a marketing automation platform (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe, Eloqua) as well as email creative tools such as Stensul, Taxi, etc.
> Experience in email campaign management, segmentation, A/B testing, and performance analytics
> Hands-on experience with email template creation, dynamic content, HTML/CSS, and content scripting languages (e.g., javascript, AMPscript)
> Excellent program management skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute multiple campaigns simultaneously and flawlessly; attention to details is a must
> Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable strategies
> Comfortable navigating large matrix organization with multiple stakeholders across different organizations globally
> Experience in the finance industry preferred
> Strong communication skills, fostering collaboration between technical and non-technical stakeholders
> Comfortable working in a fast paced environment

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $90,000 and $155,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
