We're seeking someone to join our Data Protection Control (DPC) team as an Assurance Specialist in Cyber to design and maintain DPC team procedures, ensure the compliance of DPC team process with Firm and Departmental policy, respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) regarding the Firm's data leakage controls and DPC team processes, engage with Internal Audit, and engage with global regulators.

This is a Cyber Security Engineering III position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for providing specialist cyber expertise and creating solutions that protect the organization's systems and networks against actual and potential security threats and vulnerabilities.

What you’ll do in the role:

  • Assist in gathering information and drafting responses to RFIs related to the Firm's Data Loss Prevention program, controls, processes, and performance.

  • Assist as directed in the completion of action plans, security questionnaires, and evidence gathering/compilation/vetting in support of Audit, Compliance, and Regulatory exams.

  • Familiarize yourself with Firm policies on information security, cybersecurity, data security, privacy, technology, and others ensuring that you understand how they relate to the Firm’s Data Leakage Prevention (DLP) controls.

  • Maintain the quality assurance review processes to ensure that the team is documenting and following internal team processes, Firm policy, and applicable government or regulatory requirements.

  • Execute quality assurance processes and report back with applicable metrics, findings, and recommendations for improvements.

  • Identify potential project risks and dependencies, providing solutions to mitigate issues that could impact project outcomes.

What you’ll bring to the role:

  • 3 to 5 years' relevant experience.

  • Understanding of data security principles, risk management, and regulatory compliance (GDPR, HIPAA, CCPA, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of DLP technologies (e.g., Symantec DLP, Forcepoint, Digital Guardian, McAfee DLP) and their application.

  • Understanding of defining, implementing, and monitoring DLP policies across cloud, endpoint, and network environments.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with the means to explain complex security issues to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Rigor in ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and security.

  • Ability to evaluate information, adapt to changing circumstances, and make sound judgments.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, legal, and business stakeholders.
