We are looking for a passionate Enterprise Architect to drive strategic architecture vision and alignment across key stakeholders; and define and govern architecture standards, principles, best practices, and patterns for firmwide adoption. The candidate will join a lean diverse global Enterprise Architecture team committed to fostering a culture where individuals from various backgrounds and experiences can thrive.
The ideal candidate brings knowledge of Agile, Cloud, DevOps principles and values; experiences in collaboration across complex organizations, removing impediments, and ensuring team progress towards their missions and deliverables. Candidate must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills, and be able to resolve issues and interdependencies across organizations.

Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) delivers and manages essential and innovative technology infrastructure solutions to all global businesses and locations. ETS is responsible the architecture, engineering and operation of all core infrastructure and end user technologies as well as the Firm's Enterprise Architecture, shared application infrastructure, HR Tech, Technology Modernization and DevOps capabilities.
Enterprise Architecture
Enterprise Architecture takes a lead role in revolutionizing the landscape of systems across the enterprise to drive business success and growth. The Enterprise Architecture team's focus is on high-level strategy, building an architectural discipline and driving adoption of best practice, accelerating delivery, and enabling modernization, e.g., by use of patterns and golden paths, and building out consistent architectural governance.

What you'll do in the role:
Leading key architectural projects of firm-wide significance.
Driving the Enterprise and cross-Domain Architecture vision and strategy.
Engaging with senior stakeholders locally in New York and more broadly.
Driving the long-term evolution of the IT estate in support of the high-level business strategy.
Governance and oversight of architecture activities.
Championing the adoption of architecture practices.
Architecture thought leadership.
Fostering Architecture community across the Firm and Divisions.
What you'll bring to the role:
Proven experience as an Enterprise Architect in large technology organizations.
Strong knowledge of Enterprise Architecture models such as TOGAF.
Strategic thinker; able to structure and deliver on complex multi-year programmes.
Experience working and influencing the designs of senior architects and senior technology leaders.
Experience with large-scale architecture transformation projects, e.g. integration of acquisitions, Cloud migration, geographic migrations, modernization initiatives.
Hands-on experience architecting technology solutions.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Experience working with teams across different time-zones and countries.
Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
Experience with cybersecurity, resilience and/or GenAI desirable.
BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields from an accredited university.

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $190,000 and $240,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
