The Field Business Management (FBM) team helps the Firm make data-based decisions around management and strategic direction of the Morgan Stanley Wealth Management organization. FBM works closely with senior management across Firm functions to analyze information, develop recommendations, and communicate policies.
FBM is also responsible for leading strategic work streams including the design and implementation of Financial Advisor and Branch Manager Compensation programs, Financial Advisor teaming strategies, client retention policies, and strategic cost management.
As a member of the Field Business Management team, the candidate will be responsible for supporting select policies, processes, and programs within FBM’s charter by creating meaningful solutions, effectively communicating those solutions to business stakeholders, and providing comprehensive support and education to target audience.
To be successful in this role, the candidate must be a self-starter capable of solving complex problems, have the ability to multi-task across a variety of projects and processes, be a succinct and accurate communicator, and be attentive to details, while understanding the broader strategy.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Perform data analysis and modeling to drive business incentives and design Financial Advisor Compensation initiatives that align with firm strategy policy development
- Transform complex data into clear, actionable insights through presentations and analysis highlighting key trends and recommendations for senior management
- Develop a thorough understanding of how Financial Advisors manage their practice to help identify business opportunities that will drive growth
- Analyze financial and performance data to evaluate the effectiveness of existing programs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop strong partnerships with both internal and external business partners to develop innovate business solutions

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $58,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
