We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Crisis and Incident Response Associate. The team is responsible for managing major business-impacting incidents, coordinating real-time service restoration, and actively mitigating risk.

Fusion Response leads operations from Singapore, Hong Kong, Tokyo, New York, Baltimore, Alpharetta, London, and Glasgow. Fusion's 24/7 follow-the-sun model is the cornerstone of the Firm's operational resilience capability.

Risk & Resiliency Management

This is a Risk & Resiliency Management position at Associate level, which is part of the job family responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks to ensure operational continuity and resilience in the face of potential threats or disruptions that could impact the organization, plus management of ongoing incidents.

What you'll do in the role:

-Play a key role in monitoring the global threat landscape to identify and provide early warnings of emerging risks that may impact the Firm and the financial sector.

-Assess intelligence and proactively produce reports on potential events requiring stakeholder engagement.

-In partnership with the broader team, manage incident response, lead triage calls, evaluate business impact, and ensure timely, accurate communications to relevant stakeholders throughout the incident lifecycle.

-Participate in after-action reviews following significant events to capture lessons learned and drive improvements that enhance Firm stability.

The position includes periodic on-call coverage during bank holidays and weekends, typically once every 8-10 weeks depending on team staffing.

Fusion monitors and responds to incidents that may affect Firm locations, people, or infrastructure. Examples include, but are not limited to, the following:

-Natural disasters/significant weather events

-Protests, demonstrations, or civil unrest

-Terrorist (or other violent) incidents

-Significant geopolitical events

-Widespread infrastructure outages

-Major technology outages impacting the financial sector, such as payment infrastructure, stock exchanges, or other critical infrastructure entities

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong desire to grow within the team, with support to develop into an independent Incident and Crisis Manager, Tabletop Exercise Specialist, or Intelligence Expert. This role offers a clear path for progression, with opportunities to build deep expertise, take on increasing responsibility, and contribute meaningfully to the Firm's crisis response capabilities.

What you'll bring to the role:

-Min 3 years of professional experience, preferably within an intelligence or crisis management function in the financial, technology, or related sector, federal government, or a military organization


-Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent relevant work experience)


-Composure Under Pressure: Thrive and maintain sound judgment in high-stress, zero-tolerance environments, demonstrating emotional intelligence and resilience.


-Analytical & Technical Judgement: Rapidly absorb and assess complex technical and operational situations, applying strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to drive incident resolution.


-Geopolitical Insight: Demonstrated familiarity with geopolitical and region-specific developments, enabling you to contribute meaningfully to intelligence discussions


-Effective Communication: Communicate complex and technical ideas clearly and professionally, both in writing and verbally, to non-technical and/or senior audiences.


-Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including response teams, business units, and senior leadership.


-Infrastructure & Technology Awareness: Possess a basic understanding of institutional technology, building systems, and engineering infrastructure relevant to crisis management.


-Continuous Learning: Demonstrate enthusiasm for learning, adaptability to new technologies, and a willingness to step outside your comfort zone to develop new skills.


-Intelligence & Threat Monitoring: Show familiarity with geopolitical, country risk, and physical security analysis, as well as current threat trends and risks to the financial sector.


-Tool Proficiency: Experience with Microsoft products required (with special emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint proficiency), familiarity with OSINT products, social media monitoring tools, incident management platforms is strongly advantageous, understanding of rapid notification systems is a plus.


-Growth Mindset & Accountability: Embrace training, after-action reviews, continuous improvement, and personal development. Expected to progress through the team's competency framework and further specialize as fits the requirements of the team.


-Global & Cultural Competence: Bring international experience or experience in global teams.
