We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Loan Servicing & Settlement Lifecycle Associate to act in a a key support function for the European Loan Servicing Control Team ensuring the timely and accurate execution of payments and general cash management governance.
In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships, driving strategic automation solutions by embracing a transformation mindset and challenging the status quo.
This is an Associate position within Product Support & Services, which is responsible for providing transaction support and managing post execution processes

What you’ll do in the role:
- Identifies requirements that fall outside of their scope and flags them accordingly.
- Promotes a culture of accountability and control and drives understanding, searches for lessons to be learned, and ensures full analysis when searching for answers to issues and problems, from a Business Unit and/ or Technology process point of view
- Identifies opportunities for achieving competitive advantage and thinks beyond current transaction/ issue to strengthen client relationships. Seen as an extension of a clients resource pool, keeps clients informed of trends, issues, industry initiatives relevant to their business
- Coaches and develops staff to create a deep bench of talent beneath them.
- Promotes and builds a strong relationship with key stakeholders both internally and externally. Able to articulate and communicate the risks associated with Trades and ensure Sales and Trading partners are kept apprised of issues on a daily basis.
- Advanced understanding of LMA Par trade documents, Trade Confirmations, Transfer Certificates, Sub-participation agreements, Multi-lateral netting agreements, Pricing Letters Clearpar, amendment and waivers processes.
- Self-starter, who is able to resolve issues with little context or detail and works independently to deliver on projects within defined and undefined deadlines.
- Understand the risks associated with Loan trading and the downstream impact of entries in the Firm’s loan tracking system, Loan IQ (LIQ), throughout the lifecycle of the loan trades.
- Monitoring trading systems for new trades; affirming and confirming said trades with outside clients
- Liaising with trade counterparties, agent banks, legal counsel, both internal and external as required to ensure documents are in order for a smooth settlement.
- Liaising with the Operations trade settlements team to instruct the settlement of trades
- Work closely with Sales/Trading desk and Trade support to resolve Risk and P&L issues
What you’ll bring in the role:
- At least 2 years’ relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
- Loan servicing experience
- An ability to identify priorities and deliver outputs on time to a consistently high standard
- The ability to verify data in reports to a high professional standard alongside effective communication skills
- High communication skills with the trading desk and other groups within the bank
- Time-Management and Hands-on-mentality to work well under pressure and be able to meet strict deadlines
- Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to drive change and improve daily processes in the workplace delivering both capacity and control.
