We're seeking someone to join our Hong Kong team as a Vice President in Treasury to support the management of capital, liquidity and funding for local entities. In the Finance division, we act as a partner to business units around the globe by providing management, analysis and advisory services of the Firm's financial and capital resources.

This is a Vice President level position within our Corporate Treasury & Capital Planning Job Family which is responsible for planning, managing, forecasting and optimizing capital, liquidity and funding resources; governance oversight of Treasury and Capital Planning; setting frameworks, policies and guidelines for appropriate management of these resources; managing regulatory deliverables and exams; managing CCAR/Capital Stress Testing process.

What you'll do in the role:
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Responsible for and lead a significant set of deliverables, leveraging advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment
- Proactively identify emerging risks in individual and department work and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier; Embody and set an example of the Firm's values and hold yourself and others accountable to Firm standards
- Monitor and manage Capital, Liquidity, Funding and Recovery and Resolution Planning (RRP) requirements for Morgan Stanley Bank Asia Limited (MSBAL)
- Evaluate the impact of changes to regulatory requirements on MSBAL, including the assessment of incremental resource requirements and necessary changes in legal entity strategy
- Prepare and present Management Information reports for the Asset and Liability Committee (ALCO) reporting and risk management monitoring purposes
- Participate in Treasury system implementation, enhancements and testing
- Analyze capital implications resulting from business plans and activities, advising business units on optimal capital mix and return metric
- Lead the Capital Adequacy Assessment Process (CAAP) and optimize regulatory capital position for MSBAL and partner with stakeholders in both New York and Asia Pacific in leading capital transactions execution
- Independently assess proposed changes to the Firm's booking models and analyze impact on liquidity, funding and capital requirements on the Firm, but also on a legal entity basis
- Help structure intercompany funding and capital instruments, as well as any other intercompany funding initiatives and processes
- Perform general business unit coverage for Private Wealth Management
- Manage, attract, develop and retain talent for team within Finance while creating an inclusive environment; translate Firmwide goals into actionable goals for department/function

What you'll bring:
- Advanced understanding of Finance functional area, product and/or client segment and technical skills, as well as of industry and competitive environment
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback and acknowledge efforts of team members
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences, and create plans to mitigate those risks
- A proactive nature with the determination to see tasks through from beginning to end
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English for interaction with teams across both local offices and globally; Additional Asian languages a strong plus
- Well-developed analytical capabilities, including ability to summarize complex business problems and detailed analysis with clarity and brevity
- The ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy level environment
- Excellent project management skills, effectively meet and manage project deadlines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, economics, accounting, or commerce highly preferred
- CFA or TMA membership is a plus
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
