The Chief of Staff team supports the Co-President of Morgan Stanley on a variety of initiatives across the Wealth Management and Investment Management businesses as well as the Integrated Firm. This role will primarily be responsible for supporting key business management functions as well as helping to drive and advance cross-Firm strategic initiatives.

Candidates should be able to apply an analytical approach to business management, reporting, and technology, including AI, to help drive team efficiencies and process enhancements. The individual in the role will also need to think proactively, effectively prioritize across deliverables, and exercise extreme discretion given the nature of the materials and projects the team oversees.

Overview of Role & Responsibilities

  • Maximize Co-President efficiency and impact across multiple stakeholders, providing key decision support for strategic opportunities
  • Coordinate and manage Co-President participation in internal and external engagements and help ensure strategic alignment with the Firm's priorities
  • Prepare leadership briefings, agendas, executive updates and materials for enterprise level meetings; Validate and synthesize key insights to support senior leadership in meeting preparation and engagement planning
  • Support development of presentations, narrative and talking points for meetings, large scale conferences and events
  • Gather client connectivity data across Wealth Management, Investment Management, Institutional Securities, and Integrated Firm Management businesses
  • Support Co-President communication strategy with employees, Board of Directors, investors, and clients
  • Leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to streamline recurring processes, improve data quality and turnaround times, and drive measurable workflow efficiencies across the team
  • Support organizational design, cultural initiatives and Firmwide campaigns
  • Facilitate stakeholder alignment to execute high-priority deliverables and ensure appropriate governance, risk controls, and adoption of best practices
  • Serve as connective tissue for Firmwide initiatives, requiring alignment across multiple stakeholders

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to leverage AI to enhance decision making efficacy
  • Solid understanding of Morgan Stanley's key strategic priorities and how WM & IM businesses support and advance these priorities
  • Ability to synthesize data, draw logical conclusions and make insightful recommendations
  • Awareness of emerging trends and innovative approach to driving change
  • Strong interpersonal skills and collaborative mindset with a proven ability to build and leverage relationships to achieve results
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with ability to multitask, work efficiently and manage competing deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint. Experience in building and leveraging AI agents to drive efficiencies a strong plus

Expected base pay rates for the role will be between $57,000 and $115,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs.
