We’re seeking someone to join our Cyber Data Risk & Resilience team as a Principal SRE Engineer, in Cyber Technology to manage, develop and design the Public Cloud, good experience on Kubernetes, Python, Terraform and Helm.

This is a Principal Software Engineer position at Vice President Level, which is part of the job family responsible for developing and maintains software solutions that support business needs.

What you'll do in the role:
You will be leading our expansion and take ownership of key resiliency and reliability work for Hashicorp Vault services across the Firm. Within Vault squad you will handle various development, engineering, and operational tasks, ranging from bug fixes, automation, DevOps tasks, and supporting on-call rotation.
Working with the Vault squad & wider Technology stakeholders, you will support the continuous improvement of our services through development, automation, and effective observability solutions.
Enforce adherence to architectural standards/principles, global product-specific guidelines, usability design standards, etc.
Working with Technology teams, you will develop new integrations, plugins, and onboard new tools to support business needs and integrate with the Morgan Stanley ecosystem.
Participate in design discussions, code reviews, and various Agile ceremonies to help us produce the best product possible.
You will deliver knowledge sharing and participate in cross-pollination of good practices and standards across our Vault squad & Data Protection Services department, providing documentation and presentations.
What you’ll bring to the role:
5+ years of hands-on experience with any Public Cloud Service Provider (Azure, AWS, or GCP) or in Golang development.
5+ years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
7+ years of experience in implementing technological solutions, managing applications and services in an enterprise environment.
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of IaaC with Terraform.
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of Helm.
Solid knowledge and hands-on experience of automation scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
Solid communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Experience with HashiCorp Vault.
Experience with Jenkins/Github Actions for CI/CD.
Hashicorp certifications such as Terraform Associate, Terraform Authoring and Operations Professional, Vault Associate, or Vault Operations Professional will be added advantage
At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role.
